Foldable vs. Day Runner
I got to thinking this morning about how far we've come with smart phones and laptops, and now foldable phones and soon foldable laptops, since the hay day of things like the Day Runner. Yea! how many of you remember when those were in their hay day. And it's still available too. Back then when you wanted to take a note, you opened your Day Runner and wrote the note. Today, you open your gadget (laptop or phone), open OneNote and write you note with a pen too! Need to jot down an appointment or see if you're busy? Open your gadget, open Outlook and look at your calendar. Need to make a new appointment or shuffle some around? Grab you pen and write it down in Outlook. Other than the obvious that everything now lives in the cloud and is sharable, have we really come that far?

Password Managers: LastPass vs: Windows Password Manager
I recently had an event, where I could not log into my BofA account on line. I had had this happen before with my Verizon account, and after doing some searching I found the culprit was the interaction between the websites and Microsoft's Password Manager and LastPass. Every once in a while they would not play nicely and get along. If I updated one or the other and inadvertently forgot to update the other, well, you get the picture. What I found yesterday though was really troubling. While making sure that my password in Microsoft' Password Manager was correct, I saw multiple accounts with multiple login credentials, that I haven't used in quite some time, and in fact should have been updated. But multiples? troubling to say the least. My Verizon was the worst with 5 different sets of credentials. Once I cleared all but the ones that I needed, all has been well. Same with BofA. LastPass has really begun to annoy me too. When I log into a site, it nags me with a screen that asks if I want to update that login info.... Seriously! Every single time! And every time on my Android phone if highlight something that need input it asks if I want to auto fill with LastPass. Sheesh! I've been using LastPass since Windows 8, and the

Microsoft Maps
I've always loved Microsoft's Mapping software Streets and Trips. Infact I still use Streets and Trips 2011 and have it loaded on my laptop. Now that that is said, would someone please tell me what is going on with Maps? MSFT keeps making improvements to it, but I can't use it on my (Android) phone. The closest I can come to it is HERE. Yea I know that is the early, early version on Map. Why Maps ove HERE or Google you ask. Well it's really rather simple. With HERE and with Maps, I can load up the maps that I need, and take off. For example; I want to drive from Phoenix th Miami. I load up the state maps that pertain to that area, and away I go. But! I can continue using them off line, which means turn by turn and such things as lane assist. It is my understanding that with Google maps I need to load in an area and bring it up when I'm in that area? What I have just described, applies both to HERE, and Maps, but with on esception, and that is with Maps I can save a destination as a favorite OFF LINE, and when I bring my Maps up, the saved favorite is there. In HERE that isn't so. If I save a destination on my phone, and I am off line, I need to set the phone to On Line in order for that favorite to save. Question? What are Microsoft's plans for Maps? Are they going to bring it to Android? What is the road map

Do you sync across all of your devices?
Owning a desktop, laptop, tablet and phone, my primary device is my desktop pc with 27" monitor. I have VPN and extra security in addition to Defender on the pc. Have you seen the new Office app?
The Office app is now generally available worldwide for anyone on Android and iOS phones. Have you tried it yet? Key benefits include: -Combining Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a way that simplifies the experience with fewer apps to download or switch between. It requires far less phone storage than installing individual apps while maintaining virtually all the capabilities of the existing mobile apps people already know and use. -Integrating our Lens technology to unlock the power of the camera with capabilities like converting images into editable Word and Excel documents, scanning PDFs, and capturing whiteboards with automatic digital enhancements to make the content easier to read. -Adding new functionality for common tasks people often encounter when working on a phone—things like making quick notes, signing PDFs, scanning QR codes, and transferring files between devices. What Microsoft product would you bring back?
Microsoft has created some of the most innovative products ever but more often than not they are discontinued. If you could bring back one discontinued product for a refresh what would it be? For me it would be the Band. The Band 2 was very comfortable, had amazing capabilities wrapped in a small package and the battery lasted for a long time. So what would you bring back?

Innovation never stops, people do!
Recently, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates called his failure to fight Android his "greatest mistake". I beg to differ!! As someone who have watched the rise and fall of Microsoft smartphones - I will say this - The only failure that occurred, was the failure to recruit and retain the right visionary minds! Bill Gates is a great leader who trusted the wrong thinkers and Imaginative minds. I still believe Microsoft smartphones have the ability to set a new trend in what I see as an ever-evolving software, platform and UI world. In the end, Microsoft smartphones development in the hands of the right visionaire/s would be second to none! I will leave with two of my favorite Bill Gates quotes: As we look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others. -Bill Gates Don't compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do so, you are insulting yourself. -Bill Gates The second quote in particular is quite telling. It dose not matter how far ahead IOS and Android currently are. If Mr. Gates believe enough, it's never too late to overtake the competition. Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts. Please feel free to join in the conversation. Many Thanks,
