How to Activate a Screen Saver By Double-Clicking Its Icon
Normally, a screen saver set by a user starts automatically when a computer is idle. However, you can manually start a screen saver by double-clicking its icon. Here's how: 1. Right-click the desktop, point to New, and then click Shortcut. 2. Type "scrnsave.scr" (without the quotes) and press ENTER. (For example, replace "scrnsave.scr" by "bubbles.scr".) 3. Type the name of a screen saver and press ENTER. (For example, type "Bubbles" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.) 4. Double-click the icon of a screen saver. TIP: Repeat steps 1-4 for 3D Text, Mystify, Ribbons, Photos, and Blank.

[Emergencies] The Search feature in the taskbar at the bottom of my computer suddenly becomes unusable. Hi, I'm a Microsoft Independent Community Advisor, responsible for technical support for Windows in Microsoft Community in China. Today, we received reports from dozens of users about the "search function in the taskbar is not working properly" issue. Users reported that it would not pop up any search results when they entered anything in the search box. We don't know if this issue only occurs in China, but we have submitted feedback through the FeedBack Hub app. I sincerely wish Microsoft this issue as soon as possible and thank you all the Microsoft engineers for their efforts! Hello all, I have a genuine question that has no right or wrong answer. How would you learn to use your computer better? It doesn't matter the device, the operating system, or how long you've had it. Simply put, everyone learns differently and at their own pace, what format or style of learning works best for you? I'm a Microsoft trainer and have been providing computer training at all levels for years. As much as I love the job security of being needed... the ultimate goal is to make Windows 10 easy to use and navigate without support. So, do you learn best from step-by-step instructions in a clickable demo?Perhaps that's too time consuming and you'd prefer a quick notification with basic instructions? Do we appreciate links to support pages or pop-up instructions? Has the time finally come to bring back everyone's favorite digital assistant Clippy? What do you perceive as helpful versus intrusive?
