To add a font to Word, download and install the font in Windows, where it will become available to all Office applications. Fonts come as files, and there are many sites on the Internet where you can download free fonts, such as DaFont. You can also import font files from a CD, a DVD, or your organization’s network.

You use Visual TrueType after creating a font in a font editor or after converting an existing font to the TrueType format. Hints make the individual glyphs in a font look better at small point sizes, especially on low-resolution screens, printers, and other devices with fewer pixels for accurately and legibly matching the glyph outline.

Notes: Cloud fonts are only available to Microsoft 365 subscribers. Documents that have cloud fonts will render correctly in Office 2019. If you use custom fonts or share documents with users who are using older versions of Office, you'll want to preserve the layout by embedding fonts.. If you can't access cloud fonts, make sure hasn't been blocked by your IT admin.
