Intermittently Windows 10 20H2 loses internet connection after the latest updates are fully installed. Browser reports not connected when Windows claims it has internet connection. The only fix is waiting 10 minutes for your network to reset with a hot reboot. Win. 10 20H2 - in place-upgrade bug (temporary workaround)
hi all: I started a conversation stating having an issue with the in place-upgrade while in Windows 10 20H2. Tried to fix an issue with it but cannot select the keep files, folders, etc. option. In the Microsoft community, I was given a link that this is a bug in Windows 10 20H2 and Microsoft will provide a fix for the bug in the December update Tuesday. Here is a temporary workaround to fix issues with your device but do not want to re-install Windows 10: 1) go to control panel 2) click on, Uninstall a program 3) click on View installed updates 4) right click on, Feature Update to Windows 10 20H2 via Enablement... (it will state: Uninstall. Let it run) 5) Windows is uninstalling Windows 10 20H2. After it is done, click on restart. You will be back to Windows 10 2004. You do an in place upgrade with the installation media. (if you have a USB with Windows 10 2004 or 20H2) I in place-upgrade with the 20H2 installation media. I am back at 20H2 and the issue I had is gone.
The WINDOWS LOGO + X Power User Menu
Right-clicking the Start button or pressing WINDOWS LOGO + X shows you a list of power user options that you can use. Below shown are: Apps and Features Power Options Event Viewer System Device Manager Network Connections Disk Management Computer Management Command Prompt / Windows PowerShell Command Prompt (Admin) / Windows PowerShell (Admin) Task Manager Settings File Explorer Search Run Shut down or sign out Desktop NOTES: 1. Programs and Features name has been changed to "Apps and Features". 2. Control Panel name has been changed to "Settings". Six ways Minecraft can help kids and adults learn
Seems a lot of kids - and many adults - are playing Minecraft. Why? Beneath its blocky appearance is a sophisticated and fun game that any age can learn from.
Live time for a computer using Microsoft Windows/Office
This is a question with a open end. There will always a end to something we use. We buy a car, a phone and a computer. A car can be used as long that it is servable or kept running with old parts. A phone often ends at the live time of a battery. Computers though change every day and components change the same way. In a few years we went from the GTX video Carts to RTX2000 and a year later to RTX3000 Processors went the same way from dual to quad cores and in between we managed to go in a flash from socket LGA into Motherboards that work that quick with a Intel Core i9 10900K. A version Windows was reliable for 5 years and 5 years end of time. In how far can we find with all our knowledge a live time for a composed computer? Before we went out of a door of a shop, it is almost antique. I understand that time rushes us bye, but explaining this all to elder people, who turned every dime twice, becomes almost impossible. Let me know your thoughts about this. Ben
White / Black screen
Why when I just logged in with my pin before it went to that screen it was a white screen I never seen that happen before. and when I open chrome it blinks for a min black screen. I ran all the test like SFC /scan now before I was gone a bit and it said windows didn't find anything. and I have no viruses. Please give me some insight why this happened.
I have used the MS Windows trouble shooter for speakers (numerous times). I believe after a software update my speakers have been garbled (not clear sounding). I usually run the trouble shooter (the problem with speakers comes back after shutting off the computer), normally the trouble shooter fixes the problem, but not always. I could not find any frequently asked questions that handle this situation or a permanent fix/correction for it.
Want to have Windows 10pro version 1703 updated to latest.
Dear community, I have on a laptop Windows 10 Pro version 1703 running. The laptop was not used for a while anymore but now I want to use it again. However the current version is to old to have the security updates all installed. I looked at the windows website and did not find the right update, at least I did not want to ' downgrade' to the home edition. Could someone help me how I could update my version to latest and keeping the license and PRO version? Thanks in advance, Rick.
I have been using a tp-link brand router for over 2 years now. I have recently been experiencing a lot of lag times. When I checked my download speed, it was 104 when wired directly to the modem. Through the router,d it was only 42. I contacted tp-link and was told by them that their routers typically deliver only 40-50% of mbps. I find this very hard to believe. Any advise?
