Window cannot update and disappear the defender at glance
I cannot update the window error code is (0x80070424). And after the last update the defender disappear and when I open that it shows security at glance. So I just restored the previous one and it recovered. But 3 days later I just tested the update again. Same problems I got. So cannot update the window. And then disappear the defender appearing that security at glance. I just also tested the way with like microsoft website said. Unable to update W10 Version 1809, error 0xC1900101-0x40017
I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 version 1809, OS build 17763.1518. I have been trying to update Windows 10 for months, but it always fails at the end. Most recently I tried the Media Creation Tool, and the ISO method to update. This also failed, with the following end message: We couldn't install Windows 10. 0xC1900101-0x40017. Failed in Second Boot phase with an error during Boot operation. I read a lot of posts about this error code and it seems like no one knows how to fix it. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem so that I can update to a later version? I understand that version 1809 is about to be terminated.
When you update, why do you change all my settings?
Every time I get an update to Windows, I have to reset all my options, you have forced me to use only your products, and that is NOT my choice. I have had to spend hours re-entering all my settings and my passwords (I have over 300 different passwords), and when I do an update, I have to re-enter everyone. It seems you could either get the updates tested before you release them, or at least give us a choice if we want to update (and after spending hours re-setting my settings and passwords, I think you know I would choose not to update!!) I not only have to do this to my comupter, but my husbands also.

2 contradicting messages of updating from settings
When I checked my settings the first message says "You're up to date" but the message below says "You're currently running a version of Windows that's nearing the end of service. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows10 to get the latest features and security improvements." I have no idea what's going on.
