Cortana Speaker connection issues
I finally reached Microsoft Assure or Microsoft Support after two weeks of phone down time. The reason was to get help connecting my Harman kardon Invoke speaker. Usually not an issue. I keep getting a message during set up "I am having trouble reaching the service". Microsoft Assure or Microsoft Support knows nothing about any ongoing issues... Has anyone had similar issues connecting their Cortana speaker??
Groove Music and or WMP
I am trying to upload a Bette Midler and a Credence Clear Water album to my players, and for the life of me I can't get then to upload. They are both on an external hard drive as well as in OneDrive. I'm stumped!
Blue/Green Screens đ¤ Part Two
Is there any way, I can apply a sound to a blue/green screen to alert me that of the situation. This would be so helpful to the visually impaired person. I have applied sound when I receive a notification - that is very useful. But I think error screens such blue/green warrants something special - like a sound of crashing musical symbols đ đ. Something that would immediately grab my attention. On December 28 2019, I experienced a serious interruption of my computer system when Windows was downloading an update. My computer ceased to work and I was unaware of the problem. Being unable to see the screen I inadvertently clicked on an error message which necessitated my having to contact Microsoft that day. I was so fortunate that the engineer on the other end of my link was helpful and very sensitive to my situation. đ I ask fellow contributors to take my posting as a serious request for help. The green screen oopsie the other day, heightened my concern. Many thanks and keep well.

Virus & threat protection: Keep Defender antivirus
Hi there, Virus and threat protection is not yet activated I think so. It's just says "Your virus & threat protection is managed by your organization". How can I proceed further to use this. Please do the needful.
Focus assist won't turn off
I've 2 machines and both show a moon in the focus assist box that will not turn off. I've tried everything I can think of, though I don't know when it appeared. Any ideas what it is please? Both machines are fully updated.
Toggle Keys beep AND .NET audio methods stopped working
I always use "Toggle keys" feature. Press Caps, Num Lock beep suddenly stopped working. This matter is widely reported returns many suggestions which I followed without resolution. The audio troubleshooter reports no issues. Windows sound events and music work perfectly. THIS MUST BE RELATED! I develop in .NET and these 2 audio methods NO LONGER EMIT SOUND. My speakers are not muted; using maximum volume; also using headset - NO AUDIO is emitted. * System.Console.Beep(); * System.Media.SystemSounds.Beep.Play(); Both Toggle & .NET audio stopped working at the same time.
Browser problemen
Sinds enkele weken heb ik (op Windows 10 Home) problemen met mijn browsers. Eerst Edge chromium die regelmatig bevriest tijdens het browsen (nadat ik op een link druk, ik vooruit of achteruit wil of een tabblad sluit). Dan enkele minuten flitst een zwart scherm voorbij en kan ik weer verder. Totdat het probleem opnieuw optreedt, enz. Opnieuw installeren of cache opschonen had geen resultaat. Met alle andere programma's op de computer kan ik gewoon blijven werken. Vervolgens ben ik met Chrome gaan werken en daar trad na een tijdje hetzelfde probleem ineens op. Ook nieuwe installatie of cache leegmaken hadden geen effect. Nadat ik de volledige Chrome cache map via de Verkenner verwijderde (tip van iemand) kon ik ineens weer normaal werken maar na een tijdje kwam het probleem helaas terug. Vervolgens Opera geĂŻnstalleerd en dat werkte als een zonnetje dus ik dacht dat ik er vanaf was. Nu 2 weken later is het feest voorbij en heb ik hetzelfde probleem. Ik weet niet of er een verband is maar in de logfiles zie ik heel vaak deze (DistributedCOM) melding: In de machtigingsinstellingen toepassingsspecifiek wordt de machtiging Activeren niet verleend aan Lokaal voor de COM-servertoepassing met CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} en APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} aan de gebruiker (...) met het adres LocalHost (via LRPC) die wordt uitgevoerd in de toepassingscontainer Niet beschikbaar SID (Niet beschikbaar). Deze beveiligingsmachtiging kan worden gewijzigd met het beheerprogramma van Component Services.
