Should I post the Microsoft Edge Dev change log every week?
Share your opinion! In the meantime, here's today's one: Hello Insiders! Today we’re releasing build 89.0.723.0 to the Dev channel. As you can see, this is our first build for version 89, and here’s everything exciting it’s got: Added features: Added the ability to run an on-demand scan for leaked passwords from the Passwords Settings page. Added a website permission to Cookies and Site Data for pre-loading websites. Added an option to have downloaded PDFs open in the default PDF reader instead of Edge. Added keyboard shortcut information to the Share, Copy, and Paste Settings page. Enabled work from Chromium to reduce battery usage by background tabs. Enabled support for management policies from Chromium for Printing Allowed Background Graphics Modes and Printing Background Graphics Default. Improved reliability: Fixed an issue where Edge doesn’t start and instead gives an error that the “side by side configuration is invalid”. Fixed a crash on launch on Linux. Fixed a crash on shutdown when the browser is closed quickly after creating a new tab. Fixed a crash during shutdown. Fixed a crash when using vertical tabs. Fixed an issue where re-opening an IE mode tab that was previously closed sometimes crashes the browser. Changed behavior: Fixed an issue where there’s an invisible or un-selectable tab in the tab strip. Fixed an issue where the … menu’s icon direction is vertical instead of horizontal. Fixed an issue where middle-clicking on a folder in the Favorites menu doesn’t open all its content in new tabs. Fixed an issue where clicking on the Favorites menu or History menu button when the menu is open doesn’t close the menu. Fixed an issue where certain website permissions in Settings are blank. Fixed an issue where the button in Settings to manage printers doesn’t work. Fixed an issue where autofill sometimes suggests older or out-of-date passwords for websites. Browser/search engine Which is best?
Having been an insider since 2015 I have always supported Microsoft and steered away from outside products such as Search engine/Browser choice. I use Microsoft Edge/Bing for my search engine. I would like ask what is your choice and why. I favour security and not to be tracked, security is forefront. I ask Microsoft staff and all in the community Which is recommended and why your choice you feel is best .

Is Cortana any help to you?
I have tried to use the Cortana function and I have found it more of a hindrance than help. Do you use this on a regular basis?

Microsoft Edge Update
Since upgrading Microsoft Edge to the latest version, I have noticed that the screen will go black sometimes and then reappear with the same content as before it went black. It's more like a short blip of the screen. I am on a laptop and had not this happen before and it does not occur with the Google browser.

Italy made Apple bleed
As it turns out, Apple been advertising their phones as waterproof...which was the case but only under specific conditions 🤦♂️ makes you wonder if the Water/dust resistant rating is actually worth anything, but so far only Apple has been sued. The price tag on that one is just 10 millions Euro (12mil $$) possible source-> https://www.truehollywoodtalk.com/apple-sued-for-deceptive-trade-practices/ This is also not the first time Italy does that, in fact 2years ago -> 'Apple and Samsung fined by Italian authorities over slow phones' 😏 source-> https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-45963943 What are your thoughts about that? After all, there has been a lot of problems with Apple products in the last 10years, such as bending phones, keyboards that fall a part , corrosion in all their devices....and so on.

Windows 10 and SSDs
My PC, about a year old, has a 128GB SSD, which is of course my C-drive. It was almost full,tt all but about 6 GB, because that's the way Dell set it up. Much of it is system but a lot is apps and there are also temp files. When the latest W10 update came along it insisted I did not have enough space on to install it. It said I could use the D drive but then seemed to ignore that and I had to start clearing apps and temp data off the c drive, with what damage I am not yet sure. It took ages and after I had done the update the c drive is no fuller than before the update so it looks like the update was using the c drive for workspace. Does MS not know about SSDs and the fact that they are likely to be full or do I blame Dell for the way they set it up. Of course once an app is on the SSD it is near impossible to move it to the D drive (which is near empty). D Quinn
