Microsoft You're Confusing me Again!
It's a well know fact that Microsoft has pulled way back from the consumer market to primarily focus on Enterprise. That's ok, for us consumers will benefit with this move, and already have with the change from Office 365 to Microsoft 365. What's got me confused now though is all of this talk about Microsoft wanting to first buy ByeDance's, Tik Tok venture into the U.S., and now there is talk that Microsoft is looking at buying the global works? Huh? My first question would be why. Given that Microsoft has no real track record in this type of media that I can discern it doesn't make any sense, at least not to me. Sure they (Microsoft) own Yammer and Linked In, but those are in a whole different league. Second reason it doesn't make sense, is that the recent realignment of Microsoft confirmed once again the direction they are continuing on even stronger in the enterprise arena. I see Microsoft doing this in part because they recognize the threat that Google is making with the Sheets, Docs and Slides, Chrome Book, etc. Those have come a long way over the years, and they (Google) are really trying to play catchup to Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services, Heck Microsoft is trying to catch up to Amazon as well.... Update ver. 2004 Let's hear about your problems.
There are always tricks and hacks to bypass some unwanted updates and their side effects, and the previous update made the sound volume go up to 80% ,this time as well 80%. Some of you experience it too, and for those like me using headphones it's no joke, especially that the level i listen to music etc. is seldom beyond 6%. (Feedback has been sent by me many weeks ago.) The 2004 version finally prevents me from using the old search, where the results get updated as i type in the file explorer search box, and ever since i was ok with the search being slow or not showing all results, it was ok as long i did not have to take additional steps in order to get to any results. As of today i am literally forced to perform one more action in order to obtain the search results, which as most of you know, is by either clicking on the arrow in the file explorer search box, or hitting the enter key on keyboard. I may mention the tool i found today that is not the best, but is not missing any file out of the search results, is fast & allows a lot customization. The name of that search tool is 'Everything.exe' and can be integrated in the shell menu as well as in the file explorer drop down menu or mouse right click. This thing can literally search for any file and despite being set to use index created by windows search, it shows all files. After clicking on 'rebuild' which creates index from scratch the 'Everything.exe' did still show all files....so a 3rd party executable is capable of something widnows after all these years is not. This is just sad. The previous update asked me about location preferences and so on. Why do i have to select same check boxes each time? Now the last thing would be Cortana, which i disabled, but after the update not only the cortana symbol appeared on the taskbar, but cortana got enabled. Apparently Windows is about productivity, yet updates will not be complete unless i confirm some settings, and the search takes more time. Productivity?
Problem Printing Word Document
l have been printing the same word document for years with no trouble. It still prints from my old laptop HP OMEN with Windows 10, to my old printer HP Envy7640. I have just tried to print the same document from a surface go 2 in Windows 10 s mode, using word to my HP Envy 7640. It won't print. Word says there is an error with my margins. quick fix is to print as PDF file then print the PDF file using my HPsmart App to my printer. Anyone know why the file won't print normally from word on the surface go 2? I know word uses the printer driver to work out margins but could this error be anything to do with s mode? Apart from that the surface go 2 is brilliant. I am using the basic model and so far it handles all my basics well. Good job Microsoft: Wish I had one of these at school in the 60's. Wouldn't it be great if every school could give one of these to everyone at school. I'm actually writing this with a pen just like I did before l left school. The more we advance the more we stay the same.
I don understand why Microsoft charges $100 year fir 365
It’s almost seems like Microsoft try to rape their customers $100 a year on the windows 365. That Microsoft product I won’t only use once in a blue moon. Microsoft is just as bad as this corrupt US government they know that customers have to have it in order to make document for resume etc. Why? They that hard up for money like the government. I will type up a document on my iPhone before I pay for that. May not be able to make it as fancy but it helps to pay for this high cost of living. If Microsoft even cared about there customers why can’t y’all make it more affordable that’s outrageous. I’m not a tight on money but I’m a single parent trying to provide for my kid and I. I’m not the only one but I will speak out for those that feel the same.
Workspaces coming in Edge
This is a controlled rollout coming 1st to Canary. Ergo, not all Canary testers will see it immediately. Will end up in GA, eventually, which is nice as it is a great Feature. Toggle Keys beep AND .NET audio methods stopped working
I always use "Toggle keys" feature. Press Caps, Num Lock beep suddenly stopped working. This matter is widely reported returns many suggestions which I followed without resolution. The audio troubleshooter reports no issues. Windows sound events and music work perfectly. THIS MUST BE RELATED! I develop in .NET and these 2 audio methods NO LONGER EMIT SOUND. My speakers are not muted; using maximum volume; also using headset - NO AUDIO is emitted. * System.Console.Beep(); * System.Media.SystemSounds.Beep.Play(); Both Toggle & .NET audio stopped working at the same time.

Converting Sites to Apps
As you all know sites can be converted into apps. Usually, it can be done in 2 ways or via 2 locations. 1. >Ellipsis > Apps & "Install *Name Site* 2. OFTEN there is an icon at the right end of the address bar (3 squares & a +) that does it, also. It sits to the left of the "Block 3rd Party Cookies icon & the Add to Favs icon. As we all know, any site can be run as an app, instead of opening as an Edge tab in a browser window. Cheers, Drew
Microsoft - please bring back Pinball 😢
I know that Microsoft has not had Pinball since the days of XP. I enjoyed playing this game - it was a great stress reliever and was a fun game. I think it is possible to still have this game but would require XP being installed. Not sure I would want that. Microsoft please re-instate Pinball #JustSaying 😉
