ALL Applications Explorer Windowβππ
I have used this since the early days of 7. Needless to say, I didn't care about a Start menu in 8 or not. I have given this to all my clients and all like it AND use it. Being an explorer window it can just sit on the taskbar (always at the ready), the view & sort can be selected. But, everything can be seen at one glance and to find things just have to know the alphabeth. Here are pictures of it showing 2 different View options. Between this β¬οΈ, Jumplists, Win+X and Pinned to taskbar, I hardly ever > Start, very rarely. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupg7JkGNWMzKKXbZQ https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupfnIFcSsePkjoNkg https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupfnIFcSsePkjoNkg https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanu0K3ZyyoHuERuBBVg And, speaking of Start, it CAN be like this: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupeQktP-BmedpCtWw

Tips and tricks: file and folder operations
It is easy to cut, copy, delete, move, or paste files/folders from one folder to another but shown below are quicker ways to perform file operations: Pressing CTRL+C copies the file. Pressing CTRL+V pastes the file. Pressing CTRL+X cuts the file and makes it ready to be pasted elsewhere. Pressing SHIFT+DELETE permanently deletes a file without sending it to the Recycle Bin. Pressing CTRL+Z performs an undo operation on a file or folder. Pressing CTRL+Y performs a redo operation on a file or folder. Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+N creates a new folder. There are some more tips and tricks on file and folder operations shown below: If you drag a file or folder to another folder in the same drive, it is moved. Holding down CTRL performs a copy. If you drag a file or folder to another folder in another drive, it is coped. Holding down SHIFT moves it out of the primary drive. If you drag a file or folder to another folder in the same or another drive while holding down ALT, it is copied as a shortcut. A shortcut to a file or folder can then be placed on the desktop for easy access. Right-click on a file or folder, and then click Delete while holding down SHIFT to permanently delete it. If you drag a file or folder to another folder in the same or another drive while holding down your right mouse button, the following options appear: Copy Here, Move Here, and Create Shortcut(s) Here. Moving a file or folder to the Recycle Bin while holding down SHIFT permanently deletes it. If you use a folder frequently for working with files, you can pin it to Quick Access. Just right-click the folder in File Explorer, and then click Pin to Quick Access. Or drag it to Quick Access, which pins it there. Right-clicking a program's icon pinned to the taskbar shows you recent files like documents, websites, folders, and so on. If you frequently work on a file, right-click a program's icon pinned to the taskbar and click the pin icon.

New Windows 10
I just bought my first Windows 10 computer. So far I love it. What are tips for getting the most out of it??? I replaced an old Dell with Windows 7 that I had for 10+ years. I love the new sign in and using a pin

Enabling Secure Sign-in (CTRL + ALT + DELETE)
1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R. 2. Type "netplwiz" (without the quotation marks) and press ENTER. (If you get a User Account Control dialog box, either provide confirmation or type in the password.) 3. On the Advanced tab, click to check the Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click OK.

My friend needs help.
Hello there Windows Community! My friend can not log in to Windows 10, as it just says ''Something Happened and your PIN is not available'' He can not even do a computer reset as it just failed, he can not also access safe mode, he can not do anything! All of this happened because he tried to go into safe mode! He can not even reset the PC, he is just locked. Any ideas of fixing this without resetting the PC from an external media drive? He is extremely angry at Windows right now, and I do not even know how to help, as I just can not when he can not even access safe mode! All of this kind of sounds to me as a broken or corrupted Windows file or registry but I do not know. All help is appreciated!

Sites & Pages to Apps πππ
Edge can turn pretty much ANY & ALL web sites & pages into apps. I am composing this now in the forum AS AN APP. And Edge is adding more & more nice 'controls' for making & handling apps. IF anyone needs to know HOW to do this, don't hesitate to ask. But, I wanted to address WHY to do this. 1. Having & opening things as apps, obviously, means not using Edge for that same thing (anymore). Thus, it becomes its 'pure'self... none of the peripherals of a web page. 2. Fewer open tabs tugging on system /browser resources. 3. Can be pinned & treated just like any other app. 4. Not dependent on opening or using the browser for everything. Great for Twitter, Spotify or anything used a lot that no longer needs the browser to access it. Can toss apps all over the place better than Edge windows. > β― > Apps, expand it > Manage Apps. AND anything converted to an app will, of course, be in your Applications window (and on the silly Start menu π) It is a big deal, a very worthwhile thing having this ability. Cheers, Drew
