Microsoft wirelesss display adapter
I have used it for a few years with only one problem and support fixed this problem. It happened with a Windows 10 update. Support fixed the issue for me and now I am having the same problem since KB4524570. All support did was disable my firewall and it connected.
All Detected Networks Stuck on Connect Automatically
Several days ago I got a new router from Xfinity (Arris TG1782g). My brother noticed immediately on his laptop (running Win 7) that when he clicks the Internet Access icon in the Task Bar, every single detected network in the area has Connect Automatically checked. We live in a densely populated city and there are a LOT of detected networks. I noticed a few moments ago that my PC running Win 10 Pro also has very single Connect Automatically box checked. Most are secured networks but some are not. I can uncheck them all but they revert back to checked immediately. There is no option to 'forget' any of the networks listed and I can't find a setting to uncheck or remove them. I also cannot find a user manual anywhere online for the new router, nor can I find anything in the router's settings that covers my issue. I do not have this issue with my Apple and Android devices. It's only Windows.

How do I disable dumb overtype PERMANENTLY? OneNote Web
This feature is very annoying. I cannot seem to identify when and how it gets triggered. A bit of searching reveals that "Insert" or "INS" should toggle the setting for overtype but this it is not working at all for web version of OneNote. I am forced to reload the OneNote tab and then finish writing/ editing the sentence in normal mode but then again It comes back when moving to next line or bullet. As per my research if it is enabled it should be enabled throughout regardless of application but as I am writing this very post in normal mode in another tab within the same chrome windows. the very next OneNote tab is suffering from useless feature called overtype. How is this possible. Or have I gone insane. Please help I may be PEBCAC

I have turned the computer off, then back on ... same thing is happening. Monitor screen comes on as normal, but seconds later it BLURS and I am not able to sign on. Can anyone help me?
IMAP in Microsoft mail app
A friend wants to use her gmail account on her Windows 10 PC using the supplied Microsoft Mail app. She has successfully added one account, an NTL.net address, to the app. She tried adding her gmail account but it would not sync. I think she needs to do something about IMAP in gmail and Microsoft Mail. Can anyone please supply the precise steps she needs to take?

the sfc /scannow command
hi, I like to know a couple of things. Regards to the sfc /scannow to scan for corrupt system files. I remember in 1703, after using that scan to scan for corrupt system files, it will state: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. In 1709, it will state: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log after the scan. But from 1803 to 2004, it will state: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log after the scan. I have to use the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth to restore the operation. Then, use the sfc /scannow command to get it to say: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Now the thing is: maybe few days later, when doing the sfc /scannow command, it will state the same message, Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. How will I know if there are really corrupt files? I mean, there is a bug in that department?
HP HP Stream laptop
I am looking to find a way to update my window 10 since I have HP Stream laptop that my wife order from HSN. It hasn't be update for awhile no matter what I did by following all the instructions on almost every available website or using Youtube. I do have an external drive but it will not let me use it to update my window. I rather do this the easy way then to follow someone instruction that contains too many pages to follow. I need the quickest way to resolve this unless I have to pay for a remote assistance to repair this laptop.
