adding the user account/profile troubleshooter
Microsoft came out with many useful troubleshooters, like the update troubleshooter, network troubleshooter, etc. but one important troubleshooter is lacking. That is the user account/profile troubleshooter. I have gotten corrupted user accounts before in the past (mostly has something to do with temporary internet files not being able to delete) but had to create a new one. I have posted this in the feedback hub before. https://aka.ms/AA62lx7 Will there ever be one? Hopefully someone can let the engineering team know about it.

Shoutout for Microsoft Teams 🤩
We are more than aware of the ongoing situations with CoVid19. ☹ Many people have been confined to their homes or, self isolating for their health protection. For those people who are confined (like a contributor to this platform) as an example, they are able to carry out their job responsibilities from home because many of us live in a connected world. This could not have been possible without the advancement of computer technologies to the level as they are today. Just imagine this kind of situation 20 years ago?! Having just been contacted by an individual who is working under these conditions, they expressed the opinion and I quote 'thank goodness I am able to do this'. My colleague is using Windows 10. So Microsoft please accept this person's thanks. Guys you are cosmic 😃 and so are the people using this platform, offering their help and advice to other contributors - co cool .

Task Bar Compromised
After the last update, my taskbar is "cut in half" in other words, the top of the icons are visible, and I have to guess --mostly correct--what I am trying to click on. I have called Microsoft and the technician talked to me, I thought he would help, but the usual "click" and he was gone. I have tried all other remedies suggested, but nothing addresses this particular problem. I have tried moving the task bar to the side, rather than the bottom, but it still presents with only half. Any ideas what else I could try? Every update something else goes hinky, I think this is one of my lesser evils in a dozen of disasters, it is just annoying.

Let me in
I can't figure out how to get into the Windows Community (this section here). I found it when I took a survey to get points and saved it to my favorites, so I could find out how to get back. Besides using favorites I can't get back in here.

Memory Use in low-memory devices
With each feature update (since 1607, at least), Windows 10 uses more memory (and disk space, but that's another day). It's getting to where 50-60% of RAM in a tablet/2-in-1 (2GB RAM, Win10 Home 32-bit) or older laptop (4GB RAM, Win10 Home 64-bit) is taken for a multitude of services and other tasks most of which just site there - seldom actually using CPU cycles after system startup. Yes, we should buy new computers with more RAM, on a never-ending cycle. Sorry, not going to happen in the real world where budgets are tight. What Windows needs is to be more cognizant of what the machine it's running on has available, and adjust its running footprint to match. A good rule of thumb might be: 50% of RAM when not running apps explicitly opened by the user is probably too much. If I don't have a lot of RAM, load those services only when they're needed and unload them afterward. Yes, that would slow down things when the services are needed and have to be reloaded, but the overuse of RAM is slowing things down anyway by pushing things into swap when any significant app is opened. Using swap is a real pain with spinning rust, but not great with eMMC or slower SSDs either. Look in Task Manager sometime and note how much is sitting there at the bottom of the process list nearly all the time, using no CPU once the system has stabilized following startup; those tasks and services should be candidates for killing during normal use. At minimum (assuming a reasonably-sized C: drive), those should be swapped out after a certain amount of "dead" time without waiting for something else to be loaded that forces the issue (and slows the load of a task that is actually needed). ??? Will they shut down the activation servers of office 2010
hey guys I still use Microsoft Office 2010 to make documents and for school because google drive is very buggy for me (and I think office is much better good job Microsoft) I might need to activate it on my new PC which may come after support ends in two weeks. Will they close down the servers to activate it? I think probably not because I still have product key for 2003 and it worked fine last week but just making sure. I would also like to know why stuff from the 1990s won't work on my x64 bit Windows 10 PC. I still use Vista or 7 for those but know if I get a virus bye bye Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000.

Surface Pro 7 and Squarespace - incompatible?? :-(
Hello, I hope someone can help... I purchased a Surface Pro 7 last week and am currently trying to update my website in Squarespace. I can log in, but it won't let me edit text or recognize clicks. Whaaattt?! Is Surface Pro 7 incompatible with Squarespace? Do I have to hold on to and use my old chromebook to make these changes? This is a big reason I upgraded my technology! I hope someone can help. I hope it's just me and there's a solution I'm missing. :-) thanks in advance! Nicole

Language and keyboard issue
I set three Preferred Languages in Windows 10, each associated with a different keyboard layout: English (English-Qwerty), German (German-Qwertz) and Italian (Italian-Qwerty). I use different input methods for different apps, everything is smooth and fine and I can easily switch between keyboard layouts when I need to - with one notable and very annoying exception. Whenever I use MS Word, a fourth keyboard layout turns up automatically and messes up my typing: Italian-Qwertz. The point is that I have never installed it and it does not appear in the installed keyboard layouts under any installed language, but I cannot get rid of it unless I restart my pc and every time I run MS Words the unwanted keyboard layout is there again. This is driving me crazy and I would be grateful if you could help me regain my peace of mind.
