Using High Contrast Mode
Having difficulty reading what's on the screen? Have low vision? On Windows 10, you can use high contrast to make text on the screen easier to read. To turn high contrast on, press LEFT ALT + LEFT SHIFT + PRINT SCREEN. If you want to change the high contrast theme: 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + U. 2. Click "High contrast." 3. Select the high contrast theme. TIP: You can make your own high contrast theme if none of the default high contrast themes work perfectly for you. You can swap out the affected colours if you have some form of colour blindness. Here's how: 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + U. 2. Click "High contrast." 3. Select one of the coloured rectangles under the "Choose a theme" dropdown menu. You can modify the colour of the following screen elements: - Text - Hyperlinks - Disabled Text - Selected Text - Button Text - Background 4. Click on the colour picker palette and make adjustments to the colour's brightness using the slider under the palette. When satisfied, click "Done." 5. Click "Apply" to save any colour changes. To turn high contrast off, press LEFT ALT + LEFT SHIFT + PRINT SCREEN.

Generic Vs OEM Display Driver? Which one is better?
Hi there, As we know driver software is the essential part of our windows 10 os. And windows developer team countineous try to improve this for better experienc. I noticed that most of the important driver software update automatically vai windows 10 updater. But sometimes I noticed few of driver update still delayed. For example: I am using an intel display driver and I installed intel driver support and assistance app for updating my driver manually. So recently I noticed an display driver update pop out, so usually I update it through intel driver support and assist. But updating time I noticed it's a generic display driver and it overright my OEM customised display driver. So after carefully i sucessfully install it. But after that I didn't find any issue or missing any features. So my doubts is which one is better an OEM driver or Generic display driver?
I have used the MS Windows trouble shooter for speakers (numerous times). I believe after a software update my speakers have been garbled (not clear sounding). I usually run the trouble shooter (the problem with speakers comes back after shutting off the computer), normally the trouble shooter fixes the problem, but not always. I could not find any frequently asked questions that handle this situation or a permanent fix/correction for it.
Reinstalling Win 7
Good afternoon, I have a 10 year old Aspire 5741 laptop that I updated to win 10 that I wish to revert back to Win 7. I found the MS site for the recovery info to put to usb and provided the MS product code from the bottom of the machine which MS won't accept as per; "The product key you entered appears to be for software pre-installed by the device manufacturer. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options" I'm 83 years of age and don't understand why this is necessary as I bought from a reputable retail chain here in New Zealand. I did go to the Acer site and after spending over 4 hours trying to make sense of it all I'm finally losing the will to live!! I'm desperately hoping you kind folks can help me out here please but I ask that you kindly bear in mind I'm very much a novice so nothing too technical please. Hoping you van help, kind regards....... ps. I do have recovery discs I made back when I bought the laptop but unsure what to do with them,

see which apps are affecting your battery life
I have few things to ask. Under see which apps are affecting your battery life and under Windows Explorer, the percentage goes up even while not using it. It is still going up. How to get it to go down while not in use? The percentage for Edge will go down when not in use. Windows Explorer did go down 1% from 21% to 20% but went back up 1% to 21% (when Windows Explorer is not in use). So, what does that mean and what fixes are there?
Is there a way to wait to install an update
I have tried to turn off windows updates but even when I go in and disable them, they still manage to turn themselves off. I only find out when I got to turn off my laptop and my options are update and restart or update and shut down. I like to be there when it's updating and sometimes I want to go to bed. So what are my options ....I have to sit there and wait for it to update. Why can't they give me an option to ignore update for now and shut down normally. I feel like I have no control over my computer updating. On my apple devices it tells me when there is an update available and I can decide when it's a good time for me to update. Is there some way around this? I'm in the market for a new laptop and I am seriously wondering if I really want to get another windows laptop because of the lack of control over the updates.
