Who else is tired of Microsoft ultimate games ads?
Microsoft ultimate games ads are popping up everywhere even on the game face this is bad and besides why are ads popping up in games about what I have already purchased in google not edge. We pay a lot for Win 10 and Microsoft has made enough money to be big and generous enough to stop ads in these games and stop spying on our shopping.

Trying to find a suitable App for video editing
Hello, I am interested in creating film reviews to upload to youtube. I am considering using Adobe apps such as Adobe Premiere or Premiere Rush. However, I am advised to download from the Microsoft store only to ensure the smooth and efficient running of my PC. I can't seem to find apps there that would be as suitable or useful for my purposes. A Microsoft or Google Play version of the Adobe products does not seem to be available, but there are plenty of tutorials and courses for Adobe products. This seems strange. Wondering could anyone help me with this issue. Perhaps there is a suitable app on the Microsoft store I am unaware of. I want to upload film clips with recordings of my own voice reviewing the films.
How do I stop this page from opening a new tab?
Hi I have Win 10 and Dragon Chrome browser. All my setting are set to: DONT OPEN ANY NEW TABS WHEN I CLICK LINKS! In Win 10 - Internet settings. It is set to "Dont open a new tab/page when I click links". Every time I click on any link here, it opens in a new tab. Even Microsoft.com, in my Microsoft account, doesnt do that. I have a google Extention that prohibits any link or command to open a NEW tab. I need to right click and open link in a new window, if I dont want to go to the link in the same windows. HOW are you forcing my system to open a new tab every time I click a link here? The logs says nothing, and developer tool shows no java/JSON hidden activation. How do I turn off, so I can click links in the community, and use the same tab/window? Its getting annying to remove tabs all the time when browsing and posting here. I'm sure some of you may have noticed, while others may have not, but you can no longer pin websites to the start screen, even by pinning it to your taskbar and dragging to your start screen, it can no longer be done. I've been aware of this, and have working around it, but after this last update....... ok, well we'll leave it at that... I was chatting with Microsoft Tech support this afternoon, and after I finally got them to try and pin a web site to their start screen, they admitted they couldn't do it either. Funny though they had a work around? So here's the work around, and it involve Google Chrome! Open the website you want to pin to your Windows 10 Start Screen in Google Chrome. Yea, you read that right! Once your website is open, click on the three dots located in the upper right hand corner. Scroll down until you sees More Tools. Hover over that and choose Create Shortcut... a pop up will appear where you name your shortcut, and here is where it gets important! You need to check the box that says Open as Window, then click create. Now go back to your start screen and under recently added apps you will see your recently added website. There is one last step. With it there you will not be able to move it around. So while it is in the Recently Added Apps right click and choose Pin to Start Menu. Voila! You're done, and your websites are now back on your start screen. Let's do hope that the boys and girls in Redmond fix this!
Nokia Lumia users-success stories upgrading to a new phone?
For Nokia Lumia Windows/Microsoft users needing to upgrade to a new phone, any suggestions, any positive experiences with a new phone in this circumstance? Samsung or Google pixel experience & success stories anyone? Perhaps an I Phone, or a basic phone (abandon smart phones)? Thank you in advance for any success stories - positive experience moving from Nokia Lumia to a new phone.
When you update, why do you change all my settings?
Every time I get an update to Windows, I have to reset all my options, you have forced me to use only your products, and that is NOT my choice. I have had to spend hours re-entering all my settings and my passwords (I have over 300 different passwords), and when I do an update, I have to re-enter everyone. It seems you could either get the updates tested before you release them, or at least give us a choice if we want to update (and after spending hours re-setting my settings and passwords, I think you know I would choose not to update!!) I not only have to do this to my comupter, but my husbands also.
Adding an warning App to Laptop or PC.
Many of us with Laptops and PCs go through issues like updates and cyber attacks, errors and corruption issues. Many of us have been away from out devices when something happened. Could Microsoft add an app to all of their window devices that could send a warning alert to a cell phone or other device to let us know that something is happening? If so, could that app be used to shut down to go into safe mode to help a PC or laptop remotely to prevent further damage?
unwanted and unused apps
I have no desire to turn on my camera or microphone Sure, some friends love skype, games, etc. MY laptop &Internet are for personal research& occasional entertainment, writing articles and short stories. Other Windows apps are shared with a second user account Windows often refers to him as my "child" when I attempt to delete unwanted apps and suggest I give him spending money, referring to him as my "child" This silliness has taken place several times over. Attempts to point this out via feedback most times result in a line up of staff posting "Thank you" posters rather than a any sincere effort to correct an annoying problem. - Very insincere response...
