How do I disable dumb overtype PERMANENTLY? OneNote Web
This feature is very annoying. I cannot seem to identify when and how it gets triggered. A bit of searching reveals that "Insert" or "INS" should toggle the setting for overtype but this it is not working at all for web version of OneNote. I am forced to reload the OneNote tab and then finish writing/ editing the sentence in normal mode but then again It comes back when moving to next line or bullet. As per my research if it is enabled it should be enabled throughout regardless of application but as I am writing this very post in normal mode in another tab within the same chrome windows. the very next OneNote tab is suffering from useless feature called overtype. How is this possible. Or have I gone insane. Please help I may be PEBCAC

For those who are taking the MAY "B" UPDATE, KB5003173. β¨ Quality Windows Audio Video Experience, QWAVE β¨ It is added in the list of services. QWAVE run when you are watching ANY movies/videos. In my list of services, there is no Q listed before I took the update, that is why it is easy to find. β Open TASK MANAGER β Go to SERVICES or PROCESS (click the App process that plays your video, you will find QWave) β Its alphabetical, look for QWAVE or Quality Windows Audio Video Experience. Have you notice the quality of your video, while watching your favorite stars??
Photos app being ridiculously slow
The title speaks for itself, but how do i determine it is so slow? Well, any other program and even other windows apps open any image withing less than blink of an eye. For example, Paint, Paint 3D, Windows Photo Viewer or Photoshop open any images instantly. Does anyone else have that problem? I would like to continue using Photos app for one reason only - it has full dark interface. This issue came to be either with last update or the one before that.
Using 'Speech' in a Word Document πβπ
For several days and many hours of intensive 'labours' trying to get 'narrator' to read text in my Word documents - I have come across a feature in Word that does not require switching on narrator π >In the Word document tab or mouse point to the Review button >click on speech >click on 'read aloud' It is as easy as that ππ I have sent feedback to the Insider Programme suggested that this feature could be made more prominent. Pci express screen flickering or black screens on monitors
I HAVE FOUND THE REASON SCREEN FLICKERING WITH PCI EXPRESS DISPLAY CARDS. WINDOWS 7 TO 10 ARE NON RESPONSIVE WHEN NEW HARDWARE IS BEEN ADDED OR REMOVED. YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY ADD OR REMOVE DRIVERS THAT IS WHY WITH TWO OR MORE DISPLAY PORTS ONBOARD/PCI EXPRESS WINDOWS BECOMMING CONFUSED WITH PORTS AND MONITOR DRIVERS AND BECOMING A MESS TO CHANGE BETWEEN PORTS OR MONITORS XP AND NT HANDLED DRIVERS VERY WELL. FROM WINDOWS 2000 UPWARDS WINDOWS COMPLETELY LOST CONTROLE OVER DRIVERS. Why don't windows fix that or why did windows gone bad instead of going better
New Computer
I've just got a new computer with Windows 10. It doesn't have an instructional manual and there are a lot of features I have not seen before. Any suggestions on anything I need might need to watch out for?
How many people wish that win10 has that one thing.
This talks in regards to the animations of windows 10, a focus on a user input settings app, a better "What's new" orinetation, or just a fix to make it work right. Or a removal of the automatic "Remove previous versions of windows" Honestly who still thinks that is a good idea?
