my keyboard stopped working after a driver update,
Hi all I downloaded a driver update for my laptop keyboard from windows update, along with other updates, now my keyboard will not work at all, I can't access my laptop because I can't type the pin! Is there any way around this problem?, I tried pushing the "forgot password" link but I still can't type anything please help, thanks Ronnie
Virus protection
What does this statement mean "Your virus and threat protection is managed by your organization." Who is "my" organization? This is a home computer and currently Domain, Private and Public firewalls are ON.

With all the really good dialogue going on this plat form, the help, advice and valid questions posed, I have had another idea. I don't think it's a whacky one but you may have a different opinion 😉 Question (1) What features, according to your experience and 'needs' should Windows incorporate within the next 36 months? Question (2) What additional features could be developed within the 36 months development time that go beyond need to the realm of 'want'?
Microsoft versus Chrome
I came across this analysis written by Lifewire concerning these two giants. The paragraphs below are just two that attracted my attention. 'Microsoft has decided to discontinue EdgeHTML and other core components of Microsoft Edge. Instead, the company plans to create a new version of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium. Microsoft is going to build Microsoft Edge on the foundations of Chrome, meaning that key elements like the rendering engine will be identical. What's likely to remain different are the connected services. For example, you may still sync your bookmarks with your Microsoft account instead of a Google account, and Bing will likely be the default search engine for Microsoft Edge. A common platform will make it easier for developers to create content and apps that are consistent across the major browsers'. Stopcode error (20H2)
Hello friends, Today I got a StopCode error (20H2 didn't solve it, moderator)... This is the 2nd time since I reset my PC, and the 5th time since I bought this laptop. I entered my password and hit Enter, and suddenly everything went blue. The code was CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. Thanks. P.S. I noticed that after it restarted and I logged in, there's a new icon @the bottom of the taskbar that says "Meet now" with the camera icon. Is it a virus?
Can't play online
I changed my main email under my microsoft account and now whenver I try to play xbox I get a service error, anyone know whats up?
Reinstalling Win 7
Good afternoon, I have a 10 year old Aspire 5741 laptop that I updated to win 10 that I wish to revert back to Win 7. I found the MS site for the recovery info to put to usb and provided the MS product code from the bottom of the machine which MS won't accept as per; "The product key you entered appears to be for software pre-installed by the device manufacturer. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options" I'm 83 years of age and don't understand why this is necessary as I bought from a reputable retail chain here in New Zealand. I did go to the Acer site and after spending over 4 hours trying to make sense of it all I'm finally losing the will to live!! I'm desperately hoping you kind folks can help me out here please but I ask that you kindly bear in mind I'm very much a novice so nothing too technical please. Hoping you van help, kind regards....... ps. I do have recovery discs I made back when I bought the laptop but unsure what to do with them,
