Unable to update W10 Version 1809, error 0xC1900101-0x40017
I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 version 1809, OS build 17763.1518. I have been trying to update Windows 10 for months, but it always fails at the end. Most recently I tried the Media Creation Tool, and the ISO method to update. This also failed, with the following end message: We couldn't install Windows 10. 0xC1900101-0x40017. Failed in Second Boot phase with an error during Boot operation. I read a lot of posts about this error code and it seems like no one knows how to fix it. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem so that I can update to a later version? I understand that version 1809 is about to be terminated.
Transfer Photos to PC
Since getting Windows 10 I have been having trouble transferring photos from my camera and I phone to my desk top. There must be an easy way as it was very easy with Windows 7.
Microsoft Pandora's Box
I'm really missing Microsoft Pandora's Box. It was a relaxing puzzle game that I was really addicted to for a long time. I'm hoping that maybe Microsoft would concern re-releasing it for Windows 10. :)
Sound Issues
Since the last windows update I've not been able to switch between audio outputs. Normally I can click on the speaker icon and change my output from there, but now it just doesn't switch. I have a 4 channel sound card plus a link to my Bluetooth speakers Anybody else having this problem? Dave
Update issues / security message
Updated to version 1909 and now get a startup screen message saying I need to upgrade to a newer version of windows, but the newest version is already installed. what's wrong?

need admin status to install printer driver?
I'm trying to install an HP ML-2510 printer driver. Win 10 is giving me a message asking if I want to allow this app to make changes to my device and to enter an admin user name and password. There is no space to enter it and I get the same message when I try to access User Account Control. I'm wondering why I need admin access to install a printer driver on a home computer? Is this an indication of a problem or does Win 10 actually require admin login for this? If admin login is required how do I give myself admin access without having admin access? There are no passwords set on the computer I just can't get to the screen.
