Some know how enthusiastic I am about promoting the use of Applications windows... (I rarely > Start for anything) Ergo, asking: 1. Have you tried the Applications window? A = Yes B = No 2. Are you using it constantly? A = Yes B = No (Still messing with the silly Start menu 😉🤣) 3. What View do you use? Win+X+R & shell:AppsFolder & Ok OR Enter If #1 was No, then, NOW is the time to try it 😂👍👍 Cheers, Drew

The Search in taskbar of computer suddenly becomes unusable.
[Emergencies] The Search feature in the taskbar at the bottom of my computer suddenly becomes unusable. Hi, I'm a Microsoft Independent Community Advisor, responsible for technical support for Windows in Microsoft Community in China. Today, we received reports from dozens of users about the "search function in the taskbar is not working properly" issue. Users reported that it would not pop up any search results when they entered anything in the search box. We don't know if this issue only occurs in China, but we have submitted feedback through the FeedBack Hub app. I sincerely wish Microsoft this issue as soon as possible and thank you all the Microsoft engineers for their efforts! Best wishes！ Ling Gao - Microsoft Windows Insider, Microsoft Independent Community Advisor.

How do you take screenshots?
Did you know with the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, you can set the PrtScn button on your keyboard to open the Snip & Sketch app? I find this to be the fastest way to take and share a screenshot. How do you take your screenshots? -Joe, Services Advisor at Microsoft
"Win 10 nearing end of service" mean?
I got a message on my home screen today that states, "your version of Windows 10 is nearing the end of service. Restart & Install the most recent version of Windows to get the latest security updates and support" . What does this mean? Am I going to have to start paying for this after I originally purchased it or something? Please advise. Debbie K
Hi - I try to upgrade to Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.20236.1005 (rs_prerelease), but the upgrade get stucked at 28%. I have done the "normal" way do clear the problem by stopping Wuauserv, BITS, msiserv and CryptSvc - clearing SoftwareDistribution folder (Approx 10.4GB) and then starting the services again. But with the only result that a new download is ready for installation (i.g. the same version) and a new boot gives the same 28% stop. My %Windows.~BT folder is not empty (ca 1GB), but I am a little bit unsure to delete this if I am "in the middle" of an upgrade and by deleting forces me to go through a system restore...or a complete new windows version install. cleanmgr /D C /sageset:65535 & cleanmgr /D C /sagerun:65535 doesn't clean the folder btw. Am I missing some log files to delete or any other comments/solutions? All the best, Stig

Device had a problem starting. Question: Is this affecting my PC’s performance and is it the reason I get under ‘Windows Update’ the message : Your device is missing important security updates.

Type Cover Typing
Recently I bought a Surface Go2. After getting through a couple of PICNIC errors we are up and running nicely. Yea there are things I don't like, but overall I'm as happy as a cat at a dairy farm. I was on an app the other day that allows us to edit our input. When I tried to insert a symbol using the keyboard attached to my Go2, I was unable to insert anything. Right Click No "insert" I remembered that I had done this before, so I was stumped. Ah! I was on an Android tablet and the symbols were already there, along with some other sines that I needed. But I remembered something else too. When I took off the key board and pressed the Fn on the screen keyboard, the Omega sign popped up, and there were most of the inserts that I needed. So how can I using the type cover keyboard type in different signs, such as degrees or Omega just to name a couple, or do I have to remove the keyboard. I tried the windows+ctrl+o keyboard and that was just a duplicate of what I'm typing on now, so no joy.
