Blue/Green Screens 🤔 Part Two
Is there any way, I can apply a sound to a blue/green screen to alert me that of the situation. This would be so helpful to the visually impaired person. I have applied sound when I receive a notification - that is very useful. But I think error screens such blue/green warrants something special - like a sound of crashing musical symbols 🔊 🔔. Something that would immediately grab my attention. On December 28 2019, I experienced a serious interruption of my computer system when Windows was downloading an update. My computer ceased to work and I was unaware of the problem. Being unable to see the screen I inadvertently clicked on an error message which necessitated my having to contact Microsoft that day. I was so fortunate that the engineer on the other end of my link was helpful and very sensitive to my situation. 😊 I ask fellow contributors to take my posting as a serious request for help. The green screen oopsie the other day, heightened my concern. Many thanks and keep well.

My Laptop is slowly shutting down
First I lost the WIFI , there no record of it in Device manager , not even in the hidden section. Then programmers are slow to open or don't open at all. all my upgrade fail from windows . I tried to down load driver up dates and I got "Error 2732 Directory Manager not initialized" . Its acting like its been infected but I have a very good anti virus software. Confused
Compressing C:\ drive
My system - NVME SSD, i7-8750H CPU and 16 GB RAM. Would there be a "noticeable" performance hit if I compress my C: drive using the "compress this drive to save space" option? The C: drive contains Windows system files, image and video files, games, etc. I have already compressed my D: and E: drives but maybe the C: drive is an exception since it contains the Windows system files.
Unnecessary CPU usage
Hi, I have unnecessary CPU usage on my computer. I'm looking for the reason but couldn't find a solution. When I look at the task manager, I see 'System' increase rapidly. I am waiting for your help. OS: Windows 10 Pro. - Version :20H2 - Compilation: 19042.572 PC: MSI GF6 GF63 THIN 10SCSR CPU: Intel Core - i5 10300H
Hard disk scan error
Hi,recently I insert my Toshiba external hard disk into my laptop running windows 7.When I inserted one dialog box open and says "do you want to scan and fix toshiba ext? And gives two option with scan and fix (recommended) and continue without scanning. When I click the recommended option there is another dialog with start and cancel option. When I click start another dialog box open and says "windows cant check while it is in use. Do you want to dismount this volume first?. All opened to this volume will become invalid" and gives two option force a dismount and cancel. What happen if I force a dismount do I loss all data in that hard disk? if I skip that recommended option I cant able to copy anything in that hard disk. Please help me what I have to do? All data are very important. I dont want to loss that.
Microsoft is planning to remove My People
There aren't many apps that support My People. However, Microsoft may be removing My People in future versions of Windows 10. The My People icon can be shown at any time by right-clicking the taskbar and clicking Show People icon. If you click the My People icon on the taskbar, you can quickly access your contacts.
adding the user account/profile troubleshooter
Microsoft came out with many useful troubleshooters, like the update troubleshooter, network troubleshooter, etc. but one important troubleshooter is lacking. That is the user account/profile troubleshooter. I have gotten corrupted user accounts before in the past (mostly has something to do with temporary internet files not being able to delete) but had to create a new one. I have posted this in the feedback hub before. https://aka.ms/AA62lx7 Will there ever be one? Hopefully someone can let the engineering team know about it.
Focus assist won't turn off
I've 2 machines and both show a moon in the focus assist box that will not turn off. I've tried everything I can think of, though I don't know when it appeared. Any ideas what it is please? Both machines are fully updated.
Problem navigating between web pages
I log in to my email page (call it source page) and click on to email which links me to another web page. At this point the forward/back arrows on top left hand corner disappear. When I close the linked page I'm on it closes my source page. To get back to my source page I have to go to History (which doesn't always work as I often get a blank page) or log back in to my source page, This seems, to me, to be a relatively new problem. So question I have is this normal and if it not is it a Windows 10, Bing or my email provider problem?
