Microsoft's Office App Changes
This is excellent news for everyone, not just those that are Microsoft 365 subscribers. One feature that jumped out at me is " a new feature that will allow users to open more than one instance of the web app at the same time." Currently one cannot do that and when you're on a phone or tablet it's a real P.I.T.A. Not unsurmountable but! Looking forward for this update https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/04/29/microsoft-is-launching-a-new-office-app-for-windows-10/
Workspaces coming in Edge
This is a controlled rollout coming 1st to Canary. Ergo, not all Canary testers will see it immediately. Will end up in GA, eventually, which is nice as it is a great Feature. Workspaces feature enables users to organize their browsing activities by saving their workflow. https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/04/12/hands-on-with-microsoft-edges-new-workspaces-feature-on-windows-10/ Cheers, Drew
new Edge Chromium: no feedback capability?
hi there: I remember when I was using the Edge Dev. and when I needed to send a feedback, I was able to do it from the upper right corner. Now, when I installed the new Edge Chromium, I couldn't find anywhere where I can send a feedback. Where did it go? I am in the In-Private mode. Please see the link, https://i0.wp.com/www.windowslatest.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Microsoft-Edge-Dev.jpg?ssl=1. There is a smiley face in Edge Dev. on the upper right, just to the right of the user account logo. But the new Edge doesn't have it. That is why I want to know if they taken it out or it is hidden?
KB4586853 is out: fixes the in place upgrade bug
There has been an issue where users, who wanted to repair windows with the in place upgrade option in Windows 10 20H2, will see that there is the only option, Nothing. That means, everything (files, folders, apps...) will be gone. The fix for the bug is out. Canary Has Dropped a Flag
Well, could say we are making progress, however small that may be😂 Canary Version 92.0.891.0, NOW, hides (unnecessary) title bar without a flag, BUT it, NOW, has a toggle that needs to be turned ON > Settings > Appearance > Customize Toolbar And, Canary has the Tab Actions menu icon, now. Its toggle is at this same location Cheers, Drew
Advanced Gpu Scheduling isn't avalible on DCH intel
Why does this matter? Because I want my Surface Pro 7 to have increased performance on multiple tasks. I know this might sound akward, but one of the most important features of windows 10 2004 in my opinion, is Advanced Gpu Scheduling. But regardless, intel still hasn't given a update for Advanced Gpu Scheduling, and it's really annoying how we have to wait for this feature to come, yet nvidia has it and it's great. Espically on the first generation ryzen, where it can become a hassle when multitasking to a extreme.(Multiple videos out, spotify, other things out, and perhaps a game in the background.) (There are a few issues with it though, sometimes it can causes some freezes temporarily.)(Also using a RTX2060 Super, with a ryzen 1600cpu, M.2. SSD OS drive.) I'm just wondering how many people want this to come asap, espically on intel graphics.(I think it would help signifcantly and offload the reliance on intel turboboost.) https://www.windowslatest.com/2020/07/07/windows-10-hardware-accelerated-gpu-scheduling-explained/
Will the new File Explorer reach Win 10 Non-Touchscreen PC?
I read about the new File Explorer here: https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10x#:~:text=Windows%2010X%20is%20a%20new%20version%20of%20Windows,favor%20of%20contemporary%20user%20experiences%20and%20enhanced%20security. Now that I know about it, I really, really, really want the new File Explorer for the regular Windows 10. Please, pretty please, bring it.
