If people have trouble hearing you when you’re using the mic or if you have trouble recording sound, try adjusting your mic settings: Go to Start > Settings > Sound > Sound control panel. Select the Recording tab, select the mic you want, and select Properties. Be sure to select a mic that's enabled and connected to your Surface.

Audio Problem 2 days ago, the system speakers ran correctly. But now, it doesn't work, the icon has a red cross and when I drag the mouse to the icon it appear :" No Audio Output Device is installed". Although I installed the newest driver of OEM (ASUS) but the problem doesn't persist. If anyone has a solution, please help me.

I have the same problem. After having downloaded the WIndows 10 20h2 update, I lost all audio on my HP Envy laptop. The hardware isn't even detected by the system. I spoke to HP and the problem was resolved by uninstalling the update and updating the graphics driver. HP stressed it was this rather than the audio driver.
