Speaker Issues
I have used the MS Windows trouble shooter for speakers (numerous times). I believe after a software update my speakers have been garbled (not clear sounding). I usually run the trouble shooter (the problem with speakers comes back after shutting off the computer), normally the trouble shooter fixes the problem, but not always. I could not find any frequently asked questions that handle this situation or a permanent fix/correction for it.

Virus protection can't be turned on.
My computer tells me the virus protection is off and needs to be turned on, however I have not been able to do so. When I've tried it tells me the either an error has been detected and to try again or it simply tells me the task can't be completed.

printing errors
I continuously get print error 0x00000bbb when trying to print any file from my Dell laptop. This happens on both an Epson and HP printer. The printers always test positive so the error is caused by Window 10 and I suspect one or more Windows Update are to blame.

Where's this feature ? ?
In Internet Explorer favorites Pre Window 10, if one went into Windows control panel not only could they set their computer files to open with one click, which we still can do, but they could also set their favorite folders to collapse when they clicked on another folder. I can't seem to find that in Edge favorites. Has it ridden off into the sunset never to be seen again or am I just missing something?

Clean Install and still running into problems.
When ever Windows came out I run into problems on the regular. Every Clean install is from a CD or USB and I downloaded it that day. I just downloaded on 4/2/21. After 2 days of running it becomes unstable. How? 1. I run a program called BOINC "the reason I run it 24/7". And the Project it's running is Asteroids@home for GPU work. Windows runs fine for nearly 2 days and then my computer is laggy. After I suspend all GPU work... It's fine. After restarting my computer and start running the SAME GPU work. It's fine now. That's not all... 2. Taskbar crashes, well... disappears and reappears and some programs that run in the background that put icons on the bottom right are not running "meaning not there anymore. It loves taking out EVGA Precision X, X OC, X 16 of any version. 3. Can't lower resolution lower then 4K. When lowing it from Windows settings is says it's at 1080 but my TV still says 4K. Games can't lower it either. Gams that don't support it I can't play "exp: Bejeweled 3". It did for a while on older versions of Win 10. 4. HDR does or doesn't work. I have an HDR TV. Certain games will enable HDR? Even though the game doesn't support HDR. 5. Devices randomly disconnect and reconnect because I hear the audio prompt and/or popup notice. 6. Keyboard stop working in Feedback Hub but backspace works just fine. After switching from Sticky Notes to Feedback Hub it started working again and it did it again. It's been 4 days now. The only thing I didn't do is install a Windows 10 DVD drivers that came with the MoBo. To see if that was the issue. No. X99 MoBo P.S. On another computer on an HP all in one here APU video drivers stopped running and had to reinstall it to get it back up and running. I wondered why the back light would not go out.

Hardware upgrades
I plan on Changing my HHD to a SSD 1TB and 2X8 GB ram DDR3 and then a New Windows Operating system. Question is Can I just Install the new Drive and Ram and then Purchase Windows and Start over from Ground 0. I think I have a hack on my computer and cant seem to find it

in Explorer - View - Group By
I can not understand the new Group By button. In Explorer you open a folder where you have your own photos stored and there are none to show. Then after pulling your hair out a friend said he had the same problem at work. You need to go back to View, slide to the right and click on Group By, then go down to (None) and the contents of the folder will appear. The older people using a computer will have kittens when there Windows does an update and they cant find their photos. WHY was such a link created and really does it have a purpose, or is it just to make older people pull their hair out. I have made a note in a news item I write for U3A so that our 500 members know what to do when they see all their folders are empty

Windows 10 disabled me.
Before the windows 10 update i was reasonably computer literate. I have a bachelors degree (soc) and have been a regular online user since 2000. I could handle most tech issues, hook up a printer etc., make AND RETRIEVE my documents, up/download things, play my games, watch videos and play music just fine. After the windows 10 update I became technologically illiterate. I cant find anything because Microsoft organizes my files now, not me. I routinely get locked out of my accounts, apps and even my computers. I've had to do a factory reset on my machine twice now because i could not remember the password or which email i used for it. The machine is worthless without an internet connection. The language is convoluted, new words are not defined, the same word is used to describe different things or one thing will have multiple names. Often no words are used, just a symbol or an anacronym and it is not explained. New words are being invented and that's great, but they are never defined, just trotted on out like everyone knows what they mean, and when you finally do learn what it means THEY CHANGE THE DEFINITION!!! Near constant pop up? (thingies) distract me all the time, i cant finish one task before another app wants me to do something else. I used to only have to do heavy research if something was broken, now i have to google routine things like how to log in. I do not under stand the cloud system AT ALL and its getting worse. We got clouds in clouds now??? I did not realize how drastic a change this was until recently, when I had to drop an online masters program not because I did not understand the material (I'm an honors student) but because I NO LONGER KNOW HOW TO USE MY COMPUTER! Is there a class action lawsuit I can get in on? I want Microsoft to pay to put me through IT classes, it seems you now have to have an IT degree just to use a Microsoft OS. Can I go back to windows 8 or will there be a user friendly, functional update anytime soon?

Can signing in Windows device w/Outlook be a problem 🤣🤦♀
I just had to rest my device yesterday, because there is a file popping up all over the place and my device started running so bad that I almost wasn't able to reset Windows. I think I know what the file is, but I don't think my device does. Or it might and I might be completely wrong. I think there are 2 different scenarios that are going on, which I think are causing many different problems. First, I had to reset my device about 6 months ago. When I signed back in, I didn't use the gmail account that I first used to set up the device and it was setup as the administrator account, instead I use my Outlook acct. making it the admin, well my gmail is ported into my Outlook. I read online once you make an admin account that the device never forgets it, I don't know if that is true. The reason I'm saying this, is because I think my device might be recognizing that my gmail account used to be the admin on my device, because that little user icon file is showing up in my file explorer with the gmail's username by it, its never even done that with my outlook account. On the other my hand, I have what's going on with that file that's popping up everywhere, which is using up so much of my memory that I received a code on my Windows Report saying I have a memory link. Second, if I make a Microsoft account with an Outlook email, then sign into a Windows 10 device, will the Windows 10 device see or recognize the email addresses that is ported into my Outlook account? If so, can that cause any problems with the Windows 10 Device? Because of that user file, it seems like my device has recognized my gmail account as being an admin acct. on there before, but on the other hand it seems like it doesn't recognize it being ported into my Outlook acct. because I have all those user files EVERYWHERE. Any help will greatly be appreciated. So, is any of this possible or I'm a way off ? Do I just have a virus? 🤣😜🤷♀️🤦♀️🤣😜
