Windows 10 update
My OS is Windows 10 Home 32bit version 1909. When I check for updates, I get the message that the Feature update 20H2 is ready to "Download and Install". When I do that, the update fails at the very end after 2 hours of downloading and installing. I get a message "Undoing changes made to your computer....." and I am back to version 1909. I am told by Microsoft Support that I should first update to Feature update 2004 and only then proceed to update to Feature update 20H2. But how can I do that when I don't get the option to update to Feature update 2004. Instead I am straight away offered Feature update 20H2 whenever I check with Windows Update. Can some one please help me? M K Loyalka

Restrict installing software before virus scan on WINDOWS 10
Its a common habit of most of us to install executable as soon as we download it. Is there any way in windows defender to automatically scan before requesting administrative permission or block requesting administrative permission before security scanning.

Recovering from hard drive failure
Hello, Please NOTE: I have an extremely bad attitude when it comes to Microsoft and Windows. Therefore, I will refrain from offering my opinions and I would appreciate it if others would do the same. I recently had my boot SSD fail. I've installed a new one and installed Windows 10 on it. When I set up this computer initially, I only installed Windows 7 on my boot drive (it was later upgraded without my knowledge or permission to Windows 10). I installed all other applications on mechanical hard drives. I initially had Windows keeping a back up for my bootable drive. After a period of months the external 1 TB drive I was using to back up the 256 GB SSD was full. I looked at the files. It appeared that the backup initially created an image of the drive then added periodic small files for changes (once a day, once a week, I do not remember) and that a restore would require going through all files. I stopped using Windows backup. I have windows 10 installed on a new hard drive. I have three questions: 1) - Determined this isn't possible... 2) - How can I reinstall Microsoft Office 2010? Not sure if I can locate the original discs. 3) - How can I create and maintain an image of my boot drive so that when my boot drive dies, I can put in a new drive and restore that image? - I've read about using a RAID array but I'm not certain that would work for me because I'm not clear on whether replacement drives in a RAID have to be identical to those being replaced. This has happened to me twice since Windows 95. The first time I was able to access the boot drive and repair it though I haven't the faintest idea how or what I did at that time. I apologize if I did not keep my opinions to myself.

Older PC games
I haven't been able to play C & C Generals since I switched to Windows 10 about 3 years ago. It loads from the CD just fine but when I click on the .exe file to start a game nothing happens. From what I've read on the internet there is some type of compatibility issue with Windows 10. I have tried at least a half dozen workarounds but nothing ever works. Very frustrating. Probably an easy fix for the Windows 10 programmers.

Oh no a keyboard oopsie đźđ€
I preface this posting by indicating that I reported this oopsie to the 'Hub' yesterday evening. đâ At 19:40 UK local time, I attempted to use my computer. However, I found that my Bluetooth keyboard was unresponsive to my 'tapping'. I had several attempts to remedy the problem; the keyboard remained unresponsive. I had to ask a family member if there was anything happening on the screen đ€ - there was not. I decided to do re-start - the keyboard remained unresponsive. I then powered down the device, unplugged all device and peripherals and plugged back in and powered up. I was able to check settings using my mouse pointer and I located a system message that read my email provider settings were out-of-date, My email settings have never been out of date. I concluded that Windows had been checking my system. No problems with that. đ€© I clicked on the MS account panel and proceeded to go through the checking process. The Bluetooth keyboard was re-initiated. đđ #JustSharing đ Keep well all.
