Features From Windows 7 Still Exist in Windows 10
Windows 10 includes features from Windows 7 that still exist. They are: - Shake - Peek - Transparent taskbar - Snap - Fading in and out for opening programs - Pinning programs to the taskbar Except: - Flip 3D - Desktop Gadgets - HomeGroup Quickly moving the window back and forth or pressing WINDOWS LOGO + HOME on a program will minimize all open windows. The keyboard shortcut to Peek has changed. Press and hold WINDOWS LOGO + , (comma) to peek through the desktop. Pressing WINDOWS LOGO + TAB opens Task View for virtual desktops, switching between programs, and opening websites from Timeline. Pressing WINDOWS LOGO + LEFT ARROW/RIGHT ARROW or moving a window to the left or right will tile it. You can also do it on another window. You can tile four windows by using Snap now. Moving a window to the top of the screen maximises it. NOTE: Windows 8 and later versions no longer include Desktop Gadgets due to security vulnerabilities. Windows 10 April 2018 Update and later no longer includes HomeGroup. However, you can still share folders with another users by configuring the sharing settings through File Explorer. Or you can access another user's computer from a network to work with folders.

Indexer Diagnost. I could love it, I don't, at least not yet
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹? If you're not familiar with the new indexer tool, it's available as a beta in store. I was very excited when Indexer Diagnostics was launched. I'm sure it will be very useful. I find the information provided in the app to be confusing. Take a look at this screenshot: (link is to my SharePoint) https://netorgft5693133-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/loke_llh2019_no/ERCes9s_noZIv2643-KSMW4BGTJY5gPiqJd_rUMHK4qgKQ?e=klw2DK This is how I read the information: 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙨: 𝘾:\𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨 I read: We index everything in users and subfolders 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙨: 𝙘:\𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨/𝙡𝙤𝙠𝙚 Loke is my user. Now I read; We index everything except my user. 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙨: 𝙘:\𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙨 I asked two friends how they read it: We don't index anything from Windows. I'm an above-average user, but the information in "search root" doesn't mean much to me: https://netorgft5693133-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/loke_llh2019_no/EQSz50lPkmBLodprerncPjAB6L4PLsqdMb7NeJGZ3BSIWw?e=M9cOFr MS survey on this page asks the question: 5. I can complete a complex computer-based task (e.g., setting up a printer or wi-fi) My personal opinion is setting up hardware or connect WI-FI is a minimum of knowledge. How can MS think users will understand how to use the Indexer tool and at the same time consider setting up a printer is complex? Is it just me? What do you guys think?
