Download Failure - Windows 10
Why do all downloads fail as reported to contain a virus and automatically deleted even though they come from legitimate sources? How do I fix this? Seems a commonly reported problem but cannot find an answer that works as most involve downloading a virus checking which I cannot do because of the download failure problem.

Let's talk VPN's. Are they really necessary ?
Back when I was an active participant in the producing section of society, (I'm now retired). I used a VPN for connecting my laptop to many hotel/motel/restaurants' WIFI. This of course was in the days before tethering to my cell phone was allowed (cough, cough) and of course unlimited data plans. Today however there seems to be an abundance of free WIFI from stores, cable companies, and even some municipalities. What I've also noticed when I'm out and about is, that if there is a WIFI connection available, and I'm not connected to it, it will try and connect, there by almost stifling what I am trying to access. An example would be an Excel file. When that happens I simply shut the WIFI off, and go on about my business using my data plan. Given that tantalizing tidbit of information, and the fact that about the only place I consciously connect to WIFI is home, is a VPN in my case really necessary?

Having a program run each time you sign in to Windows
If you use a program frequently, you may want to add it to the Start-up folder. Here's how: 1. Right-click Start, click Run, type "shell:startup" (without the quotes) and then press ENTER. 2. Click Start, type the name of a program, right-click a program in a list of results, and then click Open file location. 3. Right-click a program's icon, click Copy, right-click inside the Start-up window, and then click Paste. Alternatively, you can use Registry Editor to have a program run each time you start Windows. Here's how: WARNING: Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE) is a very powerful tool that lets you directly modify the registry. However, incorrect use of Registry Editor can cause serious, system-wide problems including hard disk corruption, general instability, or the inability to use your computer. It may be necessary for you to reinstall your operating system to correct the problems. Microsoft does not support modifying the registry. Use this tool at your own risk. 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R, type "regedit" (without the quotes) and then press ENTER. 2. Double-click the following registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run 3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click String Value. 4. Type the name of a program and press ENTER. (For example, PowerShell Core.) 5. Double-click a newly-created value, type the drive, path, and the name of a program, and then press ENTER. (For example, C:\Program Files\PowerShell\6\pwsh.exe) 6. Exit Registry Editor. NOTE: On Windows 10 20H1, if you right-click a program, click Properties, and then click the Compatibility tab, you can enable "Register this program for restart." On Windows 10 May 2020 Update and later, if you shut down your PC while programs are left open, they will be restored when you turn your PC back on.

List of programs can print
It would be very useful to be able to print the list of installed programs from the overview.

What is your favorite kind of PC?
There are desktops, tablets, laptops, workstations, and more. Mine is a standard office workstation with a lot of installed RAM (16GB or more) because I tend to use 40 applications at a given time, most running in the background, with a large hard drive (1tb or more) to fit all my files and software on it. I also like tablets for when I need to go somewhere other than home and they can run flight simulator fine on them so its all I need for a few days. Laptops though. I do not like most as they tend to heat up no matter how good the cooling system and I have to actually keep internal and external fans running for a long time on the highest power setting to stop this. Desktops will always have better cooling.
