Windows Updates
I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit operating system on an ASUS H81M-Plus board and Intel Core i5-4440 CPU and 8.00 GB installed memory. I am having a problem with Windows Updates. It says ‘Your device is missing important security and quality fixes’ but when I go to 'Check for updates' it repeatedly says 'We couldn't connect to update service' even though I am online and have a good fibre internet connection. Can anybody help?
Let us celebrate the human brain 🤩
As many contributors are aware, I am passionate about AI not only because it presents challenges to overcome - it offers tremendous opportunities. Consider for a few moments some of the interesting facts about our brains. The human brains weighs approximately 1.4 kilogrammes and uses 25 watts of energy and is analogue. Whereas AI which is digital, uses only 2 watts for modern machine learning and weighs, in comparison approx 150 tons to execute it current capabilities. The human brain has created civilisations, languages, art, science and mathematics et al. It has taken human beings off our planet to explore our solar system and sent probes that are still travelling and possibly operating beyond our solar system, into deep space. Sadly, there is also downside of course to the human brain, it has created war and despair 🤬. These are not for this platform thank goodness. There are opinions that AI will never be able to compete on the same level as a human brain. I would not be too sure about that. After all ladies and gentlemen it was the human brain that created AI. I lift my coffee cup ☕ in applauding all the engineers and mathematicians who are pushing the boundaries of possibilities. Exciting 🤯 and mind blowing times ahead and Microsoft is right in there , I look forward alongside you in pushing MS's boundaries. 😎 Keep well all 😊

I have an item listed as "Potentially unwanted app found." I would like to confirm that it is not something I need; I'm suspicious given I now cannot logon with employer. How can I see the app in question?

2 Step Authentication Hmmm?
This morning I went to a site that required 2 step authentication to get in. Although I've noticed this behavior before, I never really paid much attention to the fact that if someone should walk away with my laptop computer, they would have access to any of my sites that use 2 step authentication, where they send me an access coed via text message, because that text message shows up in the Action Center. Scary Huh! I've thought about disabling those in the Notifications & Actions that I think need to be disabled but haven't tried it yet. I'd be interested to hear what you may have or haven't done.... Hello everyone - hope you are all keeping well 😀 These last few weeks I have been absorbed by the features and the artificial intelligence of Windows 10. This has led me to thinking about IoT and humanity's journey into space (Mars comes to mind as does the moon). This is not such a big leap of imagination. This may be another whacky idea of mine, but I have to think that some of Microsoft's 'smart inventions' will be part of this space journey. I for one hope so. With all the unpleasant and upsetting news coming out of the CoVid19 global state of emergency, it cheers me to think of possibilities. Keep well all
Interacting with Computers 😀
Recently, I have heard conversations and comments that 'we' are spending too much time on our devices and less on our interactions with human beings. I respect these views but I do not share them. The world of the Internet and our devices (mine is a desktop computer) offers me splendid opportunities to engage with so many people across this world of ours. Whilst it is a fact that there are downsides with some aspects of the Internet connectivity, the positive opportunities are much more. For those of us who live in rural communities the Internet offers a 'window' (excuse the usage of 'Window' on the rest of the world. 😎 This particular platform is a favourite of mine 🤩 and the sense of connectivity is fantastic. Also, this platform affords me and people like me, an opportunity to explore the world of computing and its advantages. So many thanks to you all and especially the Windows Teams 😉 you guys are really 😎
Command Prompt 101: Double Ampersand (&&)
👆 Double Ampersand(&&) is useful in the command prompt specially when you use/performed multiple commands. Example: C:\systeminfo C:\DISM /Online /CleanUp-Image /ScanHealth C:\DISM /Online /CleanUp-Image /RestoreHealth 👆 By using Double Ampersand(&&), you just wait for the result. C:\systeminfo && DISM /Online /CleanUp-Image /ScanHealth && DISM /Online /CleanUp-Image /RestoreHealth 👆 If a certain commands need your interactions, it willNOT automatically proceed to the next commands. It will wait for your answer/s or response e.i. Yes or No. 😎 Have a try...😎 PS: Its my 6th day since I updated to v21H1, so far NO CRITICAL been reported, but several ERRORS in my Event Viewer & my signed drivers is increasing in numbers at sigverif, & all signed. No malwares detected in mrt & Defender offline. Tomorrow is my final testing, & I will share it with picture/s (and how I will do that? 😁)
