Windows apps are better for cell phone users
I long for the day when Google can be removed from the cell phone market. Microsoft Edge is much better than Google Chrome. Microsoft 365 Outlook is much better than anything Google offers. There are many more comments I could make. There is one comment I do not like making: Microsoft is more expensive.
Please bring back Crimson Skies!
Crimson Skies on the PC was my favorite computer game of all time. Please update it and bring it back. The story was fun and the gameplay was terrific. Please, make a middle aged man happy, and bring back Crimson Skies.
Camera problem
I'm just sharing my experience. Hoping your suggestion to correct or improve the steps based on your experience, so I can learn much from this community for the step / tips/ trick that I don't know. Usually this happened on built-in camera. I will take the following steps and stop the next steps if problem has solved: 1) Sign out from current account -> restart -> sign in with administrator account. 2) Update BIOS, then camera driver, then camera firmware if suggested and/or available from laptop manufacturer. 3) Update Win 10 to the latest version including all pending updates -> restart computer. 4) Troubleshoot Windows Store Apps. Find it by typing "troubleshoot" in windows search. 5) Check the camera privacy setting, whether it's blocked. Find it by typing "privacy settings" in search. 6) Reset Camera app. Find it by typing "apps & features" in search -> Advanced options -> Reset. 7) Check camera device compatibility in Device Manager -> right-click camera device -> Property -> Driver -> click Driver Details. If there is stream.sys in the list, then I will suggest my client to replace the camera device with a new one or use external camera. If not, it might be compatible with win 10. 8) Edit windows registry. Sometime can fix the problem. WARNING : please readers DO NOT do this if not familiar. Do it with your own risk. 8.a. Backup and save current registry setting. 8.b. Edit registry at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> WOW6432Node -> Microsoft -> Windows Media Foundation. On the right pane of the Registry Editor of Windows Media Foundation, create the new DWORD (32-bit) Value -> enter EnableFrameServerMode (without space) as the title for the new DWORD -> double-click EnableFrameServerMode -> Input 0 (zero) for Value data -> OK -> Restart. If any things is missing or there is any other tips that I don't know, please let me know.
Gave WU 2 days
No reason to wait for what's going to come anyway, when can be now. Well, I allowed 2 days for 21H1 to show via WU and tha's long enough. I've worked on it, know of it & about it for so long... it's release & I wasn't waiting or going without any longer. So, grabbed MCT ( Media Creation Tool/Update Assistant) and voila, ta da 😁👍👍 Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 Installed on 20-May-2021 OS build 19043.985 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 I find (was expected) 21H1 faster, snappier, more responsive than 20H2 was. Surface Pro 7 why can't I buy one?
I ordered a Surface Pro 7, core i7, 16Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD here in Pune, India. The Microsoft folks say I can't buy it because its got Windows 10Pro and this OS cannot be sold to a Home user And even worse, they can't give me the above hardware specs with a Windows 10 Home! Why such strange policies!
Request Pollen Count In Windows 10 Weather App
Hello, I really Like the Weather App In Windows 10, However... It really could use a "Daily Pollen Count" added to its already Great features. I Know you can simply ask Cortana what the count is, but it would be nice to have it all in one place. Any plans to implement this feature in the future?... Hello Windows Community and Badge Earners, I have been trying to obtain the "Watched 25 Videos" Badge and it doesn't seem to register. I have watched countless videos here on Windows Community. Maybe there isn't more than 25 videos at this time? I am just putting this out there in case anyone else has run into this.
Internet speed limited (Again) help
Hi I encounter a problem since a couple of days. I have a internet connection 400 Mbps / 50 Mbps My computer is all up to date Drivers are all up to date Windows version : 19041.329 I tried everything : - Hard reset internet modem - Hard reset internet routeur - Hard reset network card - Change network cable - reinstall completly network drivers - no speed limit are setting up somewhre My card negociate at 1Gbps Full duplex, no errors My computer is not able to get more than 180 Mbps (speedtest) in download FTP transfer don't want to go up than 600 Kbs I have an other computer with the same build of windows and i have no problem I've already had a problem like this last year and i was obligated to do a hard reinstall of Windows
