Results for: file opening error
File Explorer very slow!!
When I open file explorer it scans the C: drive. When I single click a file, it scans the C: drive. If I open or modify a file (change the name) it scans the C: drive. These scans vary from 5 seconds to 20 seconds, EVERY TIME. I searched Windows defrag with the start menu search button, it brings me to optimize drives. When I run the optimizer, it completes the process in 5 seconds... but i see ZERO change in the performance of my laptop. Secondly, video media I have that used to play smoothly, suddenly plays very choppy. If it does or does not have any relation to the above problem. Thank you, Nick

Windows 10 error 0x800f0922
I attempted to install Windows 10 S0H2 update KB5001373, and received the error code 0x800f0922. I checked the Windows Programs for Net Framework 3.5, and 4.8. I see that not all the services are installed. Specifically , in Net Framework 3.5: Windows Comm Foundation HTTP Activation if off, and Windows Comm Foundation Non HTTP is off In Net Framework 4.8: ASP Net 4.8 if off HTTP Activation is off Message Queing (MSMQ) is off TCP Activation is off TCP Port Sharing in on Are these the normal settings for both 3.5 and 4.8? Should I turn on some of the other services to fix the error code problems and enable me to install the update? Thanks for the help Ken977

Hard disk scan error
Hi,recently I insert my Toshiba external hard disk into my laptop running windows 7.When I inserted one dialog box open and says "do you want to scan and fix toshiba ext? And gives two option with scan and fix (recommended) and continue without scanning. When I click the recommended option there is another dialog with start and cancel option. When I click start another dialog box open and says "windows cant check while it is in use. Do you want to dismount this volume first?. All opened to this volume will become invalid" and gives two option force a dismount and cancel. What happen if I force a dismount do I loss all data in that hard disk? if I skip that recommended option I cant able to copy anything in that hard disk. Please help me what I have to do? All data are very important. I dont want to loss that.
Submit a file for malware analysis - File failed to upload
Hello everyone, I am not sure if this problem is just with me or anyone else encounter this. I am trying to upload an installer file for review because the installer exe is incorrectly flagged as unrecognized by Windows SmartScreen. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission The installer is packaged in zip. File size is 52MB. File upload limit, as stated is 500MB. After filling all the detail and click submit. The file being uploaded pops up but after it is almost done, it returns an error. "File upload failed - please try again." I have tried every browsers that I have, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, IE. I tried on Windows and Mac. I tried everyday in the last few days. A general solution for File System Errors though was to uninstall the App/Game and then reinstall.
