PC Maintenance
Is there a maintenance service that the customer can purchase (annual basis) from Microsoft? I thought I came across this kind of thing the other week (perhaps I am wrong). The purpose of this service is for Microsoft to (via proxy) to keep the system up to date and problem free? I cannot find the link now đ¤ Many thanks

Artificial Intelligence? Bring it on!
Some people I have spoken with are concerned about the rise and usage of 'artificial intelligence' in their daily lives. The thought of 'connectivity and integration' appears to be the nub of their concerns. I respect these views; however, my own view is very different. Artificial intelligence are algorithms that have intuitive code embedded in the source programs. Nothing really complicated in that. The more we inculcate AI in our computing devices, the more we can utilise 'machine power'. So here is my challenge to Microsoft - bring it on ladies and gentlemen, bring it on - let this community test the AI computing power and even suggest their own ideas on maximising AI on their devices. The recent new build of Windows 10 with the enhancements in assistive technologies are fantastic - it is possible to improve on this current offering. Just my #PoV. As a follow-on to my post, I understand that a vigorous antibiotic has been designed in the United States using AI - so cool đ The field and practice of medicine is probably one of the many fields that will benefit using AI. đ

Stolen tablet - now what
My Surface was stolen yesterday. I logged into Microsoft account and I can see the last location. The thief did not connect it to the internet after stealing it. And as they did not take the charger, it might take a while before they get their hands on a charger and power it on. Now, in the Microsoft account, you have to first Locate and only afterwards you can do the Lock option. This translated to: you have to spend the next days with your eyes glued on the Microsoft Account browser window, hitting refresh continuously, hoping in the 100 hours you will be monitoring non stop this window you will notice the 1-2 minutes your tablet will go online and you get to push the Find button and then the Lock button. I am thus wondering: how could a Microsoft engineer think of such a logic of a security system ? Why even bother to implement such an abomination of a 'security' feature !?
