Nokia Lumia users-success stories upgrading to a new phone?
For Nokia Lumia Windows/Microsoft users needing to upgrade to a new phone, any suggestions, any positive experiences with a new phone in this circumstance? Samsung or Google pixel experience & success stories anyone? Perhaps an I Phone, or a basic phone (abandon smart phones)? Thank you in advance for any success stories - positive experience moving from Nokia Lumia to a new phone.

Lock Screen Picture (Slideshow etc.) Fixed?
Someone mentioned this before.... since it didn't work for myself i even tried registry editor and this location 'C:\Windows\Web\Screen' no use, even deleting default pictures and replacing them did not work, the 'img103.png' after replacing would even show my new picture when i choosed slideshow....but only in the small preview..........which gave me the final clue 'how to' and 'why' :) solution is so dumb and so easy that i can't even think of why i did not checked it before; possible solution: Personalize->Lock Screen , now choose whatever you want, for example 'Slide show' and then choose folder with pictures now go to the folder with pictures, (unfortunately im not sure if there is a way to do that for more than one picture); right click on the picture-> Properties-> General(the tab) , now on the bottom on the right side select 'Unblock' then 'Apply' and obviously 'OK' ; done, for any picture you unblock, your slide show will win one more picture; this solved the problem for me pretty much it's bcoz the pics come from the internet :| this will happen with more than just pictures altho screensaver still works with all pictures, even with the unblocked ones, so i assume one of the updates made the lock screen settings ignore all blocked pictures
A pain in the... border WALL
How do you keep a group of hackers off your net. Off your pc,s tablets, phones. Man. They ripped up my last laptop. I can bypass the har ddrive with an exterior one. My keyboarding sucks right just now. Ihave to wathc the screen. My cursor fly/jumps everywhere. My settings in every thing I have set up has chg'd. No emails, to missed ph calls. I know alot of things about them But justnot what to do to stop them. EXCEPT Shut it all down. Turn off my internet. Shut down the Desktop, laptop, and tablets. Just use my our phones. It will make them mess with me big time at first. Threats Lots of threats. Turn on WiFi Turn off firewqll settings, turn on file sharing. My Laptop is barely 5 years old and the hard drive looks like a 90 yo bladder. Picture that??? Any advise on how to get rid of them. Monday Blues
Surface Pen
I am a person with terrible handwriting but love the Surface pen. I would love to use it more to take notes but my writing looks terrible. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make my terrible writing look better. And yes, I have even tried writing very slow.
Reply to Spam: Please Don't do this
Yesterday I got a spam asking me to update my Netflix account. Funny thing is I don't have a Netflix account. The email was a mass email that I immediately as you should to Netflix. Next thing in the trash it goes with proper blocking. This morning I woke to the same email, except this time is was a reply from one of the mass recipients telling them what a bunch of dumb a@#$% they all were... etc. etc. naturally I didn't open it and sent it to junk. Point is replying to them, all she did was validate that her email address, was well valid and now she should expect to receive a whole lot more spam. Please folks, Don't reply back to them at all! forward the email to either your email provider, or to whomever they are trying to imitate. Take Care Out There and Safe Computing.

Need to reinstall Microsoft store
I tried many things but still not able to reinstall Store as it was not working I tried some youtube videos but still not able to reinstall. Some example - I tried 1. Click Start, type Powershell. In the search results, right-click “PowerShell” and click Run as administrator. 2. In the PowerShell window, type the command, shown below and hit ENTER. ➤ COMMAND: Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage and press ENTER. In order to restore or reinstall Microsoft Store, start PowerShell as Administrator. Click Start, type PowerShell. In the search results, right-click the PowerShell and click Run as administrator. In the PowerShell window, type the command given below and press ENTER. This should install/reinstall the Microsoft Store app. After the process ends, reboot your PC to complete this action. ➤ COMMAND: Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} Powershell Get-AppxPackage not working? The issue might occur because the AppX Deployment Service was disabled. Here's how to enable it: 1. Press WIN + R, type in 'regedit' and and press Enter 2. Navigate the following path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AppXSvc 3. On the right hand double-click on Start 4. Set it to 2 and press OK 5. Now, restart your computer. It should work now, give it a try!
