How Windows inbuilt start menu search made life easier!
Hi, before that update of Windows (is it?), I had several third party applications installed on my system to do tons of work like translating text and finding the definitions of words. But after some time and updates (I guess) you could directly get access to all sorts of things from your start menu search. Want to know the definition of Chiaroscurist? Just type "define Chiaroscurist" in the searchbox/icon located in the taskbar. You can do the same with translating text, pronouncing words, finding new movies and doing random searches across the web ,just from your Start Menu's search!

File Explorer very slow!!
When I open file explorer it scans the C: drive. When I single click a file, it scans the C: drive. If I open or modify a file (change the name) it scans the C: drive. These scans vary from 5 seconds to 20 seconds, EVERY TIME. I searched Windows defrag with the start menu search button, it brings me to optimize drives. When I run the optimizer, it completes the process in 5 seconds... but i see ZERO change in the performance of my laptop. Secondly, video media I have that used to play smoothly, suddenly plays very choppy. If it does or does not have any relation to the above problem. Thank you, Nick

How to get the Windows 10 October 2020 Update
The Windows 10 October 2020 Update - also known as Windows 10, version 20H2 - is now available! Windows program manager Mabel Gomes explains how easy it is to update your device and access all the latest features to help you stay protected and productive. Keep in mind that you may not see the "Download and install" option on your device, as we are slowly throttling up availability over the coming weeks. In addition, your device might have a compatibility issue for which we will apply a safeguard hold until we are confident that you will have a good update experience. For more details, see this Windows blog: https://aka.ms/how-to-get-20H2. To learn more about the new and updated features in Windows 10, visit https://www.microsoft.com/windows/features. Does the "Search" Tool Make Navigating Your Computer Easier?
I use the "Search" feature frequently, I'm a big fan. For years I've wanted a simple search bar on my computer that could find mostly anything I'm looking for. That little magnifying glass in the bottom left side of the task bar can locate the files, programs, settings, even websites that best match my search. I work at MSFT and I'm curious about your thoughts & feedback. Thank you in advance!

File Naming Conventions and Best Practices
Working through long overdue digital housekeeping, I am questioning my file naming habits. Is there any official Microsoft documention on file naming best practices? Are there unconsidered implications for interoperability with other operating systems, file systems, indexing and database services, and user experiences? A few example questions I have are: (i) should spaces be avoided?, (ii) what are best practices for including document effective dates?, (iii) should file names be as short as possible?
