After installation, launch the iCloud app and sign in with your Apple ID and password. In the iCloud app, select the option to sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks, then click Apply. Once the setup has finished, launch Outlook. Your iCloud email, contacts, and calendars should now be synchronizing with Outlook.

That being said, there is a way to sync your iCloud calendar with Outlook for Mac—you can subscribe to your iCloud calendar to Outlook on the web (Outlook Web Access), and once you do that, the subscribed iCloud calendar automatically syncs with Outlook for Mac. Open a browser window and sign in to your iCloud account. In iCloud, click Calendar.

In Outlook for Mac, you'll be prompted to synchronize your Google, Yahoo, iCloud, and IMAP account to the Microsoft Cloud. Select Continue and re-enter your email address and password.
