Lockdown
What does being lockdown mean to me? Well, apart from the obvious of not being able to venture beyond the perimeter of my home, I find myself doing more of the following....... listening more, thinking more and hearing more; in particular the thinking bit. So here is my idea and it may come across as being 'nuts' 🤔🤯 When I power-up my computer every aspect of my personal operations of use should be coded into a simply use panel. Currently, when I log on my Internet access is automatic via my provider. However, if I wish to send an email I am faced with log-on panels etc. The usual website that I visit could be done via the Windows control panel. I am fortunate enough that my Internet usage is predictable and I very rarely surf out of the norms. Probably boring I know, but there it is. Thinking a little more about automated connectivity, there are masses of technologies that functions and self maintain themselves - some of them are extraterrestrials. I have to think that somewhere in a Microsoft development lab this 'intelligent' connectivity to our preferred websites is being developed, without using 'favourites'. The software needed would have to be intuitive (actually perhaps beyond intuitive). As I mentioned, the idea is a bit on the nutty side.

Sempre tenho as últimas atualizações do Windows 10 e do Office 2.019.

Unable to comment
Ok, I need some help here! I'm running Microsoft Edge Canary, and yesterday I noticed that I was unable to leave any comments on one particular site that I frequent. I thought that there might have just been a glitch in their system and moved on. This morning I noticed that one of the sites that I use to sign in to comment on the above mentioned site, would not let me comment or even see the already posted comments, on that site as well. Hmmmm. The only change I had made yesterday. was activating the "Sleeping Tabs Flag" so I disabled that, restarted Edge Canary, and nothing changed. Next I opened Microsoft Edge "Normal"? and looked and saw that I was able to comment on both sites. I checked and both settings were identical on Edge Canary and Normal. Next I opened up Chrome and was also able to comment on both sites as well. I know some of you are going to suggest "Why don't you just either stay with Edge Normal, or Chrome? In the overall scheme of things that would probably be alright, except that Edge Normal doesn't quite have all of the features that Canary has. Could I live without them sure, but truth be told, I'm too much of a tinkerer. As for Chrome. I keep it around for back up and to show those tech support people who's only answer is "well you need to use Chrome instead of Internet Explorer"..... What a hoot!...Gimme your suggestion all Thanks The sites are: https://mspoweruser.com http://disqus.com

I think the machines are winning!
Earlier I posted about some problems with SkyDrive/OneDrive. While I was digging into that I had my Surface Go 2 open, my HP Laptop File Explorer open, and my External HD open in a separate F.E. window. The exercise was to get them looking similar. Right in the middle of all of this, my brand new Surface Go2 tablet Intel modem decides it doesn't want to play anymore. I go trough all of the trouble shooting and nothing works! I call Microsoft, and they go through the same trouble shooting things that I did. The however are trying to figure out how to send me a 300Mb file that will fix the problem. The want to go to the internet? Uh I don't have connectivity! So we settle on he's going to send me a link I'll take that to another computer, download it to a nano card stick it in the Surface Go2 and play it. Sound good! Still waiting on the email. Meanwhile back at the ranch I fired up the Go2 to look at something and D%^ if the Wi-Fi was connected again! plus, the Personal Vault was there too! WTH!... See Folks! They're Winning!

Windows Photos blocking images after edit
Usually when downloading files from tze internet, Windows 10 will block them. This can be prevented if one would disable security by turning the Windows Defender completely off, which you do not want to do. It's all nice and fun until you move files from other devices to your PC, which i did from my phone via WiFi. Surprisingly no picture was blocked....until i used Photos app to edit a picture, after which i clicked on 'save copy'. Needless to mention, the most useful function in editing pictures is the 'clarity' , this does some amazing things with a picture. But now, after saving a copy i wanted to compare the original vs the new one, and so i opened the original picture and used mouse wheel to go to the next picture, and the new picture got skipped. I immediately checked the properties, bcoz windows apps may not open files if those are blocked. I am now wondering, how come the app designed to replace Photo Viewer, changes the files so that they are being recognized as a threat? Why did windows block a file changed by a windows app????? 😅 Of course the blocked picture opens, but then i can not toggle between pictures. Does someone care to try it out? *Edit* Blocked pictures may not be used for lock screen but can be used as a wallpaper.
