How to stop "upgrade" nags
Up until the end of support "upgrade" nags on Windows 7 have been able to deal with. Now, suddenly, it got more aggressive and is going full screen every time I boot to remind me to "update". I don't like Windows 10 and want to delete the "Upgrade" how to I do this?
Windows Updates
I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit operating system on an ASUS H81M-Plus board and Intel Core i5-4440 CPU and 8.00 GB installed memory. I am having a problem with Windows Updates. It says ‘Your device is missing important security and quality fixes’ but when I go to 'Check for updates' it repeatedly says 'We couldn't connect to update service' even though I am online and have a good fibre internet connection. Can anybody help?

Hide; with vertical tabs will get rid of the unnecessary title bar 2. Ask; will ask before closing multiple tabs. (Back from Edge HTML, at long last) TIP: After enabling the flag have to turn on its toggle in Appearance You now have Maths Solver & a toggle to show it on the Toolbar OR NOT Don't leave Sleeping tabs on 2hrs. Personally, I use 5 mins. You can show the Tabs Actions menu icon, now. Can, now, vary the width of Vertical tabs. ↔ on its right edge & stop where you like it. Disclaimer: You may not see everything that is advertised, YET. NB: Ignore that it says 'Dev'. It used to be 😉😂 PS: Beleive it or not, actually writing this from within GA, right now. It is getting nicer & more appealing all the time, especially, with those 2 new flags ☝, even for an Edge DEV/Canary fan 😉😁 GA will go to 92 by mid-July. Losing the internet and can only get it back by restarting.
My laptop loses the internet connection from time to time. When I show all connections available and click on mine, it says "cannot connect to this one". Then I restart and it works fine. Just aggravating.

I think that I have received a new version of Windows 10. I think all is going well and I will be posting more on my experience (as a blind person) sometime today. It is very exciting to receive updates; puts more energy into my day 😎🤩 Coffee time methinks ☕☕☕☕ Hope all of you are keeping well
Disappointed = still blocked for Window 10 2004 May update
Dperessed that only 1 of 5 devices I own has updated to Windows 10 2004. Frustrating that I stil can't even find out what the block reason is. Pathetic that on the conexant sounds cards (my best guess for my thinkpad blocks) that billion dollar corporations (Microsoft and Synaptics [who bought connexant] can't fix a sound driver in more than 2 months (it's 2 months since the block - presumably the problem was already known for the block). Even worse, they can't be bothered to to provide any kind of news since the original text posted onMay 27 - you press the "LearnMore" button on Windows Update and learn nothing at the next to useless dashboard. "Investigating" for 2 months is just sad. I have used Windows for a while - I was present at the UK launch and have never been so disappointed. Ironically, on one ofmy devices I never even use the Conext sound - with proper infomration (liek aconfirmation that this is my blokc) I might risk anupdate and manual disbale - I tried that to see if the block woudlclear on automatic update it didnt workbut with no information provided on the blockI have noidea if it shoudl have worked. [Incindetally,which idiot decided to switch off the WIndows spell check in ths dialog? Here I am in edge,with MS editor running and... As it happens my spelling is pretty good - but my typing is not (motor control) so I rely on underlines to spot the typos.]
How to PERMANENTLY stop windows update
ok microsoft we get it... you want us to update. But I do NOT want to update my software until I want to without it being forced upon me. Now I can't even control-alt-del restart without it trying to update... I delayed for seven days but please say how I can PERMANENTLY stop it. Going back to seven and vista otherwise, have second unused DVD with Enterprise key.
