Do you build your own PC?
Who else still builds computers from pieces? Do you install other operating systems on other machines? What do you use your other machines for? I want to build an old PC and repurpose it as a security hub for cameras. I also have a raspberry pi 3B to tinker with. What do you tinker with?

Windows Community interviews Windows enthusiast: Rohit Langde
Windows enthusiast Rohit Langde describes how an introduction to Windows 95 laid the foundation for a career in technology.

Your main purpose of having Windows OS
A. Business. You just want a reliable operating system to support your business growth, like running accounting program to print a bill to get money. Not care about Windows features, update nor the upgrade. B. Gaming. Only learn Windows features related to games. C. Browsing. Just read the news, weather information, find products, shopping, manage online stores, social media. Not learn much about Windows features. D. Tech enthusiast. Always want to know all the features inside Windows, including tinkering Windows OS & computer to learn something. E. Children's learning. Almost likely you have to reinstall Windows often. F. ...... ??? (please add yours) That's just my envision. Maybe you have another story. Would you like to share it? Psst, there is someone just happy to have a premium laptop with latest Windows OS but just put it on the table.

Changed my default picture folder name somehow
I somehow changed my default picture folder name that I also don't know how and now it shows (/D) only. And I am not able to rename it now. I don't know much about operating computer and learning to use it. So please somebody help me in this issue. My C drive shows 47 GB free out of 97, D Drive 437 GB free out of 450 GB and E Drive 445 GB out of 450 GB. So you see not having much files but stil my laptop runs very slow and takes a lot of time to start and reboot almost 10 min for each one. And runs super slow. Please guide me in these matters. I shall be very thankful for any help provided on here.

Applause for Microsoft AI School 🤩
As a supporter of AI (actually passionate about this) I recommend a browse and deep dive on the platform Microsoft AI School. Heaps of really good and instructional information. It is fascinating to learn how a bot is designed, built and used. The algorithms (as demonstrated) are not complex to understand. At least it gives the user a much better understanding. I have only just begun working through the platform - so early days; however, I do recommend this site. So I am standing up and waving my arms like palm trees for the Microsoft AI School. Give it a go 😀

Let us celebrate the human brain 🤩
As many contributors are aware, I am passionate about AI not only because it presents challenges to overcome - it offers tremendous opportunities. Consider for a few moments some of the interesting facts about our brains. The human brains weighs approximately 1.4 kilogrammes and uses 25 watts of energy and is analogue. Whereas AI which is digital, uses only 2 watts for modern machine learning and weighs, in comparison approx 150 tons to execute it current capabilities. The human brain has created civilisations, languages, art, science and mathematics et al. It has taken human beings off our planet to explore our solar system and sent probes that are still travelling and possibly operating beyond our solar system, into deep space. Sadly, there is also downside of course to the human brain, it has created war and despair 🤬. These are not for this platform thank goodness. There are opinions that AI will never be able to compete on the same level as a human brain. I would not be too sure about that. After all ladies and gentlemen it was the human brain that created AI. I lift my coffee cup ☕ in applauding all the engineers and mathematicians who are pushing the boundaries of possibilities. Exciting 🤯 and mind blowing times ahead and Microsoft is right in there , I look forward alongside you in pushing MS's boundaries. 😎 Keep well all 😊

28 August 2020 – Elon Musk reveals Neuralink
well here we go. A brain-computer interface (BCI), sometimes called a neural-control interface (NCI), mind-machine interface (MMI), direct neural interface (DNI), or brain-machine interface (BMI), is a direct communication pathway between an enhanced or wired brain and an external device. BCI differs from neuromodulation in that it allows for bidirectional information flow. BCIs are often directed at researching, mapping, assisting, augmenting, or repairing human cognitive or sensory-motor functions. Research on BCIs began in the 1970s at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under a grant from the National Science Foundation, followed by a contract from DARPA. The papers published after this research also mark the first appearance of the expression brain–computer interface in scientific literature. Due to the cortical plasticity of the brain, signals from implanted prostheses can, after adaptation, be handled by the brain like natural sensor or effector channels. Following years of animal experimentation, the first neuroprosthetic devices implanted in humans appeared in the mid-1990s. Recently, studies in Human-computer interaction through the application of machine learning with statistical temporal features extracted from the frontal lobe, EEG brainwave data has shown high levels of success in classifying mental states (Relaxed, Neutral, Concentrating), mental emotional states (Negative, Neutral, Positive) and thalamocortical dysrhythmia. read more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain%E2%80%93computer_interface and here: https://neuralink.com/ and please share your views, opinions, quams with, pros if any? i'd love to know what others think of this. I know how I feel about it and honestly? it scares yet excites me at the same time.

In-place Upgrade of Win. 10 vs. re-installation of Win. 10
Your device might run into an issue or issues like in Windows 10 functionality and the In-Place Upgrade sometimes is the most reliable and quickest way to fix the Windows 10 malfunctions. Here are the options you can choose to fix issues & the differences between the In-place Upgrade of Win. 10 vs. re-installation of Win. 10. 1st option) The best quickest option but one that might take a while is called an In-place Upgrade of Windows 10. Here is the link on how to perform one. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/how-to-perform-an-in-place-upgrade-with-windows-10/7f0b236e-3c6c-4913-9691-c4baa2a6190a Here are two good things about an In-place Upgrade: a) it re-install Windows 10 to the current one b) you can choose to keep files, folders, apps, etc. ( that means you will not loose anything after the In-Place Upgrade is finished) 2nd option) re-install or clean install Windows 10: This method is faster than an In-place Upgrade but all your apps, drivers, updates, etc. gets erased. (reminder: backup every files, folders, etc. before performing this. Apps will have to be reinstalled.) This let's your device start fresh. You can choose to backup folders, files, etc. to the D drive, if you choose not to erase the D drive during the re-install of Windows 10. Here is the link on how to perform re-installation of Windows 10. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/clean-install-windows-10/1c426bdf-79b1-4d42-be93-17378d93e587 Hope the info. helps.

What does it have, what can it do, where is something, how does some thing work. If you are keen to learn, have answers and discover your machine's potential... Tips is THE place to go 😀👌👍👍 Pretty much covers the lot from A to Zed <-- Canadian 😂 Anyway, to access Tips hit the Win key or logo & type Tips & clk the Tips app that appears 🙂 That's it, read & enjoy 📖 Cheers, Drew
What is machine learning? | Microsoft Azure
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/overview/what-is-machine-learning-platformMachine learning (ML) is the process of using mathematical models of data to help a computer learn without direct instruction. It’s considered a subset of artificial intelligence (AI). Machine learning uses algorithms to identify patterns within data, and those patterns are then used to create a data model that can make predictions.
