Task Bar Compromised
After the last update, my taskbar is "cut in half" in other words, the top of the icons are visible, and I have to guess --mostly correct--what I am trying to click on. I have called Microsoft and the technician talked to me, I thought he would help, but the usual "click" and he was gone. I have tried all other remedies suggested, but nothing addresses this particular problem. I have tried moving the task bar to the side, rather than the bottom, but it still presents with only half. Any ideas what else I could try? Every update something else goes hinky, I think this is one of my lesser evils in a dozen of disasters, it is just annoying.

Preventing changes to a file
To prevent changes to a file: 1. In File Explorer, go to a folder that contains a file. 2. Double-click a file while holding down ALT. 3. Click to check the Read-only box, and then click OK. Note While your file is set to read-only, you can't make changes to it while using a program, such as Microsoft Word or Paint. However, you can save it by typing another name while keeping a read-only file intact.

How Windows inbuilt start menu search made life easier!
Hi, before that update of Windows (is it?), I had several third party applications installed on my system to do tons of work like translating text and finding the definitions of words. But after some time and updates (I guess) you could directly get access to all sorts of things from your start menu search. Want to know the definition of Chiaroscurist? Just type "define Chiaroscurist" in the searchbox/icon located in the taskbar. You can do the same with translating text, pronouncing words, finding new movies and doing random searches across the web ,just from your Start Menu's search!

Sticky Notes
Anyone a fan of these? Many colors so notes can be colored by type. ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฉโฌ๐ช They are great for recipes you want to try out! Delete if you don't want to save. Any time you have a receipt confirmation on a webpage, just copy and paste onto sticky notes. You can delete when you decide you don't need anymore. Save links to a place you may want to visit again, (but are not crucial enough to mark as a favorite) if you are shopping. Designate specific colors for Just purchased a new PC and transferred all data from old PC to new one, successfully for the most part. However.... Sticky notes did not transfer...๐ฎ I'm bumming Windows Community....if I go onto my old PC, I can copy all onto a word document & then send email to my new PC....would be nice if I could "stick" them to a word document, like sticky notes attached to a piece of paper, rather than paste. Then I could print if needed. That possible? โ

No different way to sign in I just have the pin.
Yes on my sign in for windows the only thing I have showing is pin How do I fix that? And when I try to do the hello face it keeps saying it can't find a camera and I turn my camera on. A Windows person said before look for the pic to where I can chose to sign in with windows pass word but it's not there so I can't. It seems since the update to windows May2004 things is crazy. I've restarted me pc but it don't fix nothing. Before windows update I had the part to sign in windows with a pass word. What buttons needs to be on in the setting for log in option?
