Pinning Websites
I'm sure some of you may have noticed, while others may have not, but you can no longer pin websites to the start screen, even by pinning it to your taskbar and dragging to your start screen, it can no longer be done. I've been aware of this, and have working around it, but after this last update....... ok, well we'll leave it at that... I was chatting with Microsoft Tech support this afternoon, and after I finally got them to try and pin a web site to their start screen, they admitted they couldn't do it either. Funny though they had a work around? So here's the work around, and it involve Google Chrome! Open the website you want to pin to your Windows 10 Start Screen in Google Chrome. Yea, you read that right! Once your website is open, click on the three dots located in the upper right hand corner. Scroll down until you sees More Tools. Hover over that and choose Create Shortcut... a pop up will appear where you name your shortcut, and here is where it gets important! You need to check the box that says Open as Window, then click create. Now go back to your start screen and under recently added apps you will see your recently added website. There is one last step. With it there you will not be able to move it around. So while it is in the Recently Added Apps right click and choose Pin to Start Menu. Voila! You're done, and your websites are now back on your start screen. Let's do hope that the boys and girls in Redmond fix this!

Anyone else miss the old windows phones produced by Nokia?
Okay no disrespect is meant towards Microsoft in anyway or form what so ever. Okay now with this statement out of the way, lets move on towards the main focus as this conversation's title states. So anyway yeah I was wondering if anyone else out there was lucky enough to own, or even use any of the original Window Phones, that were created and produced by Nokia? Don't get me wrong, for what few phones I have tried and even seen sold by Microsoft, we still very nice, fun, and well made, however I feel like they took over the phone market a little to soon. In my opinion they should have either waited a few more years, or at the very least came to some sort of agreement that allowed Nokia to continue building phones. The reason I say this, is because of two reasons. The first of if when Nokia was creating the phones, the were offering way better phone specs, features, and sizes on the market with use with prepaid services than Android and Apple, (And to think Apple still hasn't even bothered creating a cheap affordable device for low to mid low income individuals... talk about being all loyal to their Boujee class of peoples. LOL) And the other reason being, that their top of the line model phones, where created with amazing and not to mention most incredible cameras to still ever be found on a cell phone. For examples of what I am talking about, look at both the AT&T Windows Nokia 1020, (the phone had decent memory, was shaped like a small digital camera, and had a back facing camera that took 41megapixal photos), and the AT&T Windows Nokia 1520, (A pretty well design and durable phone that was bigger than the Note 3 and Note 4 which were the best Android Phones at the time. It had a back facing camera with 20 megapixels). *A Little Fun Fact: It is mainly all thanks to Nokia with their creation of Window Phones, that we have the decent size and as good as quality cheap android phones on the market as we do today. So anyway, does anyone else miss them?

Preventing Shut Down From the Sign-in Screen
In order to prevent users from using the sign-in screen to shut down whether users are signed in or not, you can use Local Security Policy or the REG command. Here's how: Method 1: Local Security Policy NOTE: This method only applies to Windows 10 Pro. 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R. 2. Type "secpol.msc" (without the quotes) and press ENTER. 3. Double-click Local Policies. 4. Click Security Options. 5. Scroll down until you see Shutdown: Allow system to be shut down without having to log on and double-click it. 6. Click Disabled and click OK. Method 2: The REG command WARNING: Incorrectly using the registry editing tool can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows 10 to correct them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the incorrect use of the registry editing tool can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk. 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R. 2. Type "cmd" (without the quotes) and press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER. 3. Provide confirmation or type in the password if you see the User Account Control dialog box. 4. Type REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v shutdownwithoutlogon /t REG_DWORD /d 1 and press ENTER. 5. Type EXIT and then press ENTER. Now, whenever you press WINDOWS LOGO + L or you're not signed in yet, the Power icon that normally appears at the bottom-right corner of the screen will not be seen.

An email from CEO Satya Nadella to Microsoft employees: Seeing injustice in the world calls us all to take action, as individuals and as a company. Sometimes this action is personal – what do I do to change? Sometimes it is organizational – what changes do I need to make around me? And sometimes it is reflected into the world – what can we do as a company to accelerate the change we desire? As we see the everyday racism, bias and violence experienced by the Black and African American community, the tragic and horrific murders of so many, the violence in cities across the US, it is time for us to act in all arenas. As I shared in our Employee Town Hall last week, each of us – starting with me and the senior leaders at the company – has a role to play. We cannot episodically wake up when a new tragedy occurs. A systemic problem requires a holistic response. I am heartbroken by the deep pain our communities are feeling. The results of systemic racism, which have impacted opportunities and exacerbated injustices for Black and African American communities, urge me to consider my own role as a leader. I must continue my journey of understanding and empathy and examine actions I take, or don’t take, every day. Listening and learning from my Black and African American colleagues is helping me develop a better understanding of their experience. And I take accountability for my own continued learning on the realities of privilege, inequity and race and modeling the behavior I want to see in the world. As a company, we need to look inside, examine our organization, and do better. For us to have the permission to ask the world to change, we must change first. We have to embrace the same speed and mindset that we do in anticipating and building for future technological shifts. Each day, we work to bridge the gap between the culture we espouse and our daily lived experience, but we must do more and do it faster. Win 10 Pro not supporting multiple processors
I have a Dell t7500, running Win 10 Pro, dual X5690 processors, 96 GB ram. the Pro (not the Home) version of Win 10 is supposed to support multiple processors, but mine doesn't. Windows recognizes that there are 2 processors, but it is only using one. Is there a solution for this issue?
