How to PERMANENTLY stop windows update
ok microsoft we get it... you want us to update. But I do NOT want to update my software until I want to without it being forced upon me. Now I can't even control-alt-del restart without it trying to update... I delayed for seven days but please say how I can PERMANENTLY stop it. Going back to seven and vista otherwise, have second unused DVD with Enterprise key. The Narrator and I
The Windows 10 Narrator bot is such a valuable resource to me. In fact I would be unable to fulfill my professional and personal commitments without Narrator. So, I am sending this message to the Windows team that design systems which are based on inclusivity especially for those of us who have some form of disability. The 'Ease of Access' function is another aid that guides the users to adjust the system to their specific needs. I am in the throes of theoretically building a bot that is personalised to my needs. I have not even started coding - still masses of learning to do. My project is an exciting challenge for me and Narrator is my partner in this venture. The AI School Platform is fantastic. Thanks to the Microsoft teams for developing inclusivity aids - great work guys 🤩😍💜
Windows 10 October 2020 Update (Version 20H2) Released Now
Starting last week it was rumored to be released on 13th October, So what is expected release date for Windows 10 20H2 Update? No Official word yet from Microsoft but it should be released anytime soon. WMI Host provider CPU and lsass.exe Memory utlization high
We are using Windows Server 2016 Datacenter build 10.0.14393.3297 We have observed CPU utilization of WMI Host provider and Memory utlization of lsass.exe process is very high due to which system is getting slow. In our application logs which queries to WMI, we have found "enumeration operation may not execute." Groove Music Issue
Hello Microsoft Community! I've been having a problem with the Groove Music app on Windows and I wanted to see if anyone could help me. So, I'm big on music and one thing I like about groove is the fact that you can add custom album art which is great for my techno artist and albums that groove can't find album art for but, for some reason, when I try and add this art myself sometimes, I just get the default image photo instead of the album art itself. Even when I save it, It's still this stupid default photo. Can anyone help me at all?
What is Productivity?
I'm often baffled by the way people use the word "productivity". It would seem I may have the wrong idea of the definition of productivity. In my view, productivity describes the most direct way to achieve a desired result. It means, responding to a request with a direct action towards producing the desired result : eg: "open the window", should cause someone to open the window. Conversely, when I ask Microsoft to do something , I usually get a response in the form of a question. " Are you sure that's what you want me to do?" or perhaps, " Do you have the authority to request that ?" Very often, on the internet, I get an even more non-productive response. " Sorry, we cannot find that site" or another inane response is , " We notice you are using an ad blocker. We'd like to give you the opportunity to remove it or disable it so we can feed you the kind of crap you put the ad blocker in place to prevent ." Am I wrong in assuming that Microsoft is asking me to remove my,"productivity" measures so they can waste more of my time with unsolicited sales pitches instead of doing what I asked them to do?
File Naming Conventions and Best Practices
Working through long overdue digital housekeeping, I am questioning my file naming habits. Is there any official Microsoft documention on file naming best practices? Are there unconsidered implications for interoperability with other operating systems, file systems, indexing and database services, and user experiences? A few example questions I have are: (i) should spaces be avoided?, (ii) what are best practices for including document effective dates?, (iii) should file names be as short as possible?
What do you use for your desktop background? Lock screen?
What do you use for your wallpapers? I've been using Bing Desktop, which changes your desktop background every day to the lovely pictures provided by Bing (they also do the daily pictures on your Lock Screen before you log in). I would say many users I see (I work in a Microsoft Store as a Services Advisor) usually have some place they went on vacation or a picture of their family. I've even seen some people have a slideshow as their background, to change to different pictures on an interval.
