Select the search bar and type a name or subject. Select an option to refine or widen your search: All Mailboxes, Current Mailbox, Current Folder, Subfolder, or All Outlook Items. You can also select a category within the Refine group to further filter your search results: From – only shows results from a specific person.

Select the search box in the ribbon. Type what you're looking for, like part of a subject or a contact's name. If you want to narrow your search, select one of the options in the Search tab that appears: Select Calendar or People. Select the search box in either location and type the contact or event you are searching for.
