What new feature would you like most in the next Windows?
It seems lately the most we expect in terms of new features is security updates these days? I would like to see a major revamp to the U.I. and how about a good cleaning of legacy code out of Windows. Why not cut the fat out of the system a bit and have delineating feature set between legacy of 10 or more years ago and new. In other words try to make windows run faster on less resources. Add some new U.I. tweaks and eliminate redundant menus and settings. Add a new kernel and filesystem that is faster and more efficient. Harden the kernel further against attack and run more processes in sandbox. I would be pretty excited to see a new windows with those features, how about you?

Complete Black Screen Everywhere. Even In Safe Mode.
Hello, please help me! I just downloaded a theme from devianart, installed it, then when I clicked on it through windows settings, it said "Please Wait" for a second (default screen when themes are changing) and then just made all my active windows black. Explorer, chrome & Windows Settings was black & suddenly, screen completely turned black with just mouse pointer showing up. Can't use Start, Run or Ctrl+Alt+Del. Couldn't do ANYTHING accept holding the power button for 10 seconds and pressing shift to enter recovery menu (the one with a blue screen and 6 options like troubleshoot, continue and reset) there i ran cmd and tried to uninstall my current theme, but it just showed 3 themes - . , .. and aero. i couldn't find the custom theme name, not a single! (i had multiple downloaded but never applied) I tried system restore point, that failed (i made one before installing the theme) I also tried startup repair, didn't work. FINALLY I tried safe mode, but IT DIDN'T WORK TOO! Just my mouse cursor size increased and black screen was still there, nothing working at all (same as in normal mode). Please help me! All information is above!

Sleeping tabs Fade OR NOT
By default, when tabs are Sleeping, the icon fades (although, I have seen vids showing & saying that AND the text fade). It seems some Users don't like the fading effect. Personally, I like the fading and I like that, FOR ME, the icons fade 👍👍, not the text 👎; still easy to read, whilst still easy to see what's sleeping. So, anyway, due to tester feedback, this has been added... In the latest Canary is an On/Off toggle for this, which is on by default, but it you don't want the fading, then, certainly turn it Off. > Settings > System Fade Sleeping Tabs Off/On Cheers, Drew

in place upgrade vs. reinstall
Sometimes, our devices may run into issues that doing the sfc /scannow command or creating a new user account, etc. will not fix the issues. Here are two popular methods to fix problems. 1) in place upgrade: What is an in place upgrade? It is basically reinstalling Windows while we get to keep our files, folders, settings, etc. It basically gives us a fresh couple of the Windows system files. Meaning, we might do the sfc /scannow command and it found corrupt system files that cannot be repaired. The in place upgrade will give us fresh system files. pros: We do not lose any files, folders, settings, etc. when choosing the in place upgrade. cons: When choosing this method, it will take a while to complete. It requires several restart of the device. If the device has a good CPU, etc., then it will be a little quicker but will still take time to complete. p.s. After the in place upgrade is finished, we might have to update few drivers again. Usually, the in place upgrade will revert the newer drivers to the previous ones. Remember, it will create Windows.old. That will take a lot of space. The best way is to go to storage under settings and Storage Sense to delete Windows.old. You can free up over 10GB of temporary files and can regain some C drive disk space. 2) reinstalling Windows 10: What this does is basically reinstalling Windows 10 again. Giving us a fresh start. pros: This method is usually quicker than the in place upgrade. cons: The cons of choosing this method is it wipes out everything. p.s. When choosing this method, I generally only wipe out the C drive but do not wipe out the D drive. If you want to choose this command, I suggest you to copy everything in the desktop or if you have put files, folders, etc. in the C drive to a portable drive. Also, download the bookmark from Edge, Chrome, etc. and save it to a portable drive. It is because after reinstallation of Windows 10, they will be gone.

Tips of the day: Personalising Windows
You can move the taskbar to any edge of your screen; right-click the taskbar, click Lock the taskbar to uncheck it, and then drag it with your mouse. To set your computer's clock, you can click the clock on the taskbar and click Date and time settings. To change the colour scheme, right-click the desktop, click Personalise, and then click Colour. You can have programs start when you start Windows 10 by dragging their icons to your Start-up folder. To change your desktop background, right-click the desktop, and then click Personalise. You can download themes from Microsoft Store. You can switch mouse buttons if you are left-handed. Just double-click the Mouse icon in Control Panel and click Switch primary and secondary buttons.

Clean up your PC for extra space
One of the greatest features windows 10 has to offer is Storage sense. Storage sense is a feature by windows that automatically gets rid of files you don't need like temporary files and contents of your recycle bin. Windows 10 also offers a storage manager that lets you see which type of files is actually taking up much of your storage on each drive. With these feature, you can manage your space efficiently by erasing the type of file that you don't need. To access storage manager and storage sense, simply open the settings app, then click on the system tab. Under it, click on storage and rule your storage without worries.
