Was Windows Vista really a bad operating system?
After a 6 year drought from Microsoft, in 2007, Microsoft launched its new operating system: Vista. Right off the bat its system requirements were higher simply because of the great features that it had up its sleeve. Most people regarded many of the new features as unnecessary and termed it as bloatware, which I would consider unreasonable. Undoubtedly, Vista had its fair share of bugs and issues, but nothing is perfect, right? Mainly the reason that I think that Vista had all these bugs and issues was probably due to the fact that Microsoft was probably pressed for time, as they reset development of what was supposed to be Vista, also known to some as Windows Codename Longhorn. This time pressure may have resulted in Microsoft attempting to hurry the launch as I believe that XP was starting to get a little outdated. Furthermore, I believe that consumers also let their hopes a little too high, understandibly, since Microsoft had not launched a new version in 6 years, evoking thoughts that Microsoft was working on something really big. Honestly speaking, we should not really vent at the bad things about Vista, because if you look at modern operating systems, features that set them apart from legacy operating systems, whether you talk about looks, design, functionality, or redundancy were mainly pioneered in Windows Vista. Even competing operating systems can be found with features that first appeared in Vista. This just goes to say that if Vista did not exist, or if such an OS was not made, then modern tools that are ubiquitous and taken for granted would have not existed. So in conclusion, Vista had its bugs and issues, and was not well recieved, and it makes sense, but Vista is the sturdy foundation of modern OSes, and it is that huge leap of faith which paid off in its twin successor, aka everyone's favorite version of Windows, the beloved Windows 7, which is just Vista 2.0 with more consistency if you ask me. Microsoft Outlook 365 (Desktop)
In all the years I've been using Outlook, I have never had this happen, so I thought I would pass it on just in case any of you ran into it. I don't know for sure whether or not this last update caused the problem but it's suspicious When I got an email, I noticed that all I was getting was the header and not the body of the email. Played around with some setting and thought I had it fixed. Nope! Did a little searching on Bing, and found it to be a known problem and the cure was rather simple. Turns out that the server seemed to think that I was in Offline mode. reset that along with a few other parameters while I was in there and the problem seems to have disappeared. Keep that in mind if that happens to you. Apparently it is also a known issue with Gmail as well.
Wired connection problem
We have a small office setup with three wired computers connected to a router. Up until a week ago, we could all access each others computers and files with no problems. I updated my computer (which is the main one to version 2004) Once I did, no one could access my computer. I reinstalled windows and they still could not. Changed my computer name, and now my surface can access it wirelessly, but the other two cannot. I can access theirs, and they can access each others but not mine. What do I need to do??
Problems with Microsoft Word
Why does Microsoft Word continually fail to respond when I am using it? I pay an annual subscription for Microsoft Office and find this very annoying. Sometimes it is several minutes before it responds again.

How to disable the appearance "open file" dialog
I am running some automation process of deploying image and automate download using vbs scipting. Things work find in Windows 7 but when it comes to windows 10, the automated process (from VBS script) was being halted by the dialog/windows box "how do you want to open files" with the checkbox "always use this app to open .vbs files". As the image having visual studio 2005 installed, the windows keep pop up asking whether choose Windows based script host to run, or using visual studio to run. I've tried several method to inject and set windows based script as default program to run vbs script, but the windows of asking which program to run still appearing. Here's what I have done: 1. set value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.vbs\OpenWithList result : windows/dialog box still appear Is there any other registry value which represent the checkbox value of "always use this app to open .vbs files"? Or in short, I want to inject the registry value to set Windows base script host as default program to run vbs script and eliminate the appearance of the dialog box, so that it won't affect my automated process.
