With the free Office Online apps, you can quickly switch to the full-featured desktop apps—without leaving your document. In Word for the web, click the Edit in Word button. There’s a similar button in Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for the web. If your document opens in Read Mode, click View > Edit Document to edit it.

Replied on January 5, 2018. Since no one else will answer your question, here goes: Open Internet Explorer, navigate to the same page you're having the issue with, and try to open the same link. When it asks you the same question, uncheck "ask every time". Then close IE and continue using Edge without the Nag anymore.

Can't switch between application windows. If I have multiple application windows open such as word, excel and chrome I cannot switch between them unless I minimise the application I don't want at that time. I am using Windows10 and not aware of anything I have done to change things. This is very frustrating and wastes time.

On the Start menu, select Settings > Apps > Default apps. Select which default you want to set, and then choose the app. You can also get new apps in Microsoft Store. Apps need to be installed before you can set them as the default.
