Hello Colleagues đ New Release of Windows 10 help please
Hello All For those of us who have downloaded the 'Feature Update' of Windows 10, I would very much appreciate your help in highlighting any new feature that would help people with disabilities. đ I have checked features such as 'read aloud', 'immersive reader', 'narrator' . I may have missed something really fundamental though đ„ș. If you think of any new feature that would benefit users like myself in particular, please let me know. đđ I will be able to help others. 2 contradicting messages of updating from settings
When I checked my settings the first message says "You're up to date" but the message below says "You're currently running a version of Windows that's nearing the end of service. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows10 to get the latest features and security improvements." I have no idea what's going on.

Safely Remove USB Hard Drive
Hi, Some times I get this message when I try to eject my hard drive. "This device is currently in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again." I have tried many suggested methods that I found on google search. None of them worked. Is it safe to just pull it out as suggested on this article (please see below) Thanks Thiru -- hide signature -- Microsoft Ditches âSafely Remove USBâ Requirement â Just Pull It Out 8 April 2019, 7:31 am EDT By Carl Velasco Tech Times It's common practice to hit "Safely Remove USB" before pulling out a flash drive from Windows devices, but Microsoft has officially called it quits on that requirements. As part of a new update, the Redmond company has modified the way Windows 10 handles disconnecting USBs or Thunderbolt storage devices. The change applies to USB thumb drives, external hard drives, flash drives, and even data transfer connections between PCs and smartphones. It took effect with the wide deployment of Windows 10 version 1809, which is the October 2018 update. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/241057/20190408/microsoft-ditches-safely-remove-usb-requirement-â-just-pull-it-out.htm ---------------

Widows Update 2004 Problems 3 months OEM support+ no help
Problems with updating my Yoga C940-14IIL (Lenovo) from 1909 to 2004. Officially Lenovo premium support claims there should be no problems on there end for my device. Not driver related software etc. But i'm still stuck on the not device not ready screen. I Also tried to force the update like they instructed. Without being rude in my opinion there premium support is tier 1.5 at best. The conversation basically is them approving my suggestions or providing ridiculous extra information to them. Basically telling me which button i should click or explaining something in English i provided them by sending a screenshot etc. For example i ran the Intel driver support assistent and pointed out Intel has newer graphic wifi and Bluetooth drivers than the ones they provided. Asking if that might solve the issue but i pointed out Intel recommends OEM drivers not generic ones (It's in the screenshot). They replied its worth trying and that the lines i pointed out mean they are not officially tested. I'm thinking this is a bad joke or something i pointed it out and informed them and they reply with "might work and explain te words in a sentence i provided them" This is just one example out of dozens. Half of the suggestions or questions i made mentioned on the 2004 Official known issues/problems page (provided screenshots) they didn't understand i think. I attached the screenshot and even underlined the sentences i send them. Basically they told me to do the windows clean start or start over thing by holding a reset button (whatever it's called) . It's a brand new device with almost no software except for a single licensed office 2019 professional plus (not linked to a account) and mapped in my fairly complex new "secure"network and has things like SMB shares configured with my Linux and FreeBSD servers etc. It's also a wifi only device so it's on my IOT Vlan so it's a pain in the ... to setup again. Advice or answers would be appreciated before i do a clean install.

Now 8 September still no May 2020 update
Well where is it all the information given following current links is out of date twitter posts say nothing useful when are you going to inform us of the current situation of this supposed update.

Update ver. 2004 Let's hear about your problems.
There are always tricks and hacks to bypass some unwanted updates and their side effects, and the previous update made the sound volume go up to 80% ,this time as well 80%. Some of you experience it too, and for those like me using headphones it's no joke, especially that the level i listen to music etc. is seldom beyond 6%. (Feedback has been sent by me many weeks ago.) The 2004 version finally prevents me from using the old search, where the results get updated as i type in the file explorer search box, and ever since i was ok with the search being slow or not showing all results, it was ok as long i did not have to take additional steps in order to get to any results. As of today i am literally forced to perform one more action in order to obtain the search results, which as most of you know, is by either clicking on the arrow in the file explorer search box, or hitting the enter key on keyboard. I may mention the tool i found today that is not the best, but is not missing any file out of the search results, is fast & allows a lot customization. The name of that search tool is 'Everything.exe' and can be integrated in the shell menu as well as in the file explorer drop down menu or mouse right click. This thing can literally search for any file and despite being set to use index created by windows search, it shows all files. After clicking on 'rebuild' which creates index from scratch the 'Everything.exe' did still show all files....so a 3rd party executable is capable of something widnows after all these years is not. This is just sad. The previous update asked me about location preferences and so on. Why do i have to select same check boxes each time? Now the last thing would be Cortana, which i disabled, but after the update not only the cortana symbol appeared on the taskbar, but cortana got enabled. Apparently Windows is about productivity, yet updates will not be complete unless i confirm some settings, and the search takes more time. Productivity?

Pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER in the Run dialog box
If at any time you need to run a program with administrative privileges, like running Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell as an administrator, press WINDOWS LOGO + R, type the name of a program, and then press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER. For example, you would type "cmd" (without the quotation marks) in the Run dialog box (normally, pressing WINDOWS LOGO + R opens the Run dialog box), and then press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to run Command Prompt as administrator. NOTE: Pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER in the Run dialog box was introduced in Windows 10 April 2018 Update and works on newer Windows 10 versions.

Where's HomeGroup?
Windows 7 introduced HomeGroup. Now, on Windows 10 April 2018 Update and later, HomeGroup is no longer available. However, you can do one of the following: - Save your files to OneDrive and share a link to other people, or give them permission to view or edit. - Use media sharing for pictures, music, video, and recorded TV. - Share your folder with someone else who is part of your network. - Access someone else's PC in the Network folder as long as other PCs are part of your network. - Access any shared printers through the "Print" dialog box. (If you're using a printer that has a built-in Wi-Fi, other users can use it.)
