False email message.
I have a Hotmail and a Gmail address. For the last year I have been getting an email from my Hotmail address to my Hotmail address saying it appears we do not have permission to get email from my Gmail account. I do get Gmail messages in my Hotmail account. I have tried taking Gmail off the account and tried to set it up again to no avail.
Online classes for kids: knowledge gained > innocence lost?
Should kids have to care about login, password, account, zoom, TEAMS? I started thinking about this when a friend of mine was describing her "New Normal" few months ago - How she had to help her kids figure out school-supplied-equipments, online classrooms, accounts, logging in, figuring out passwords, online submission... Online learning or any kind of learning is great, but what's the right age to start. What's the right taxonomy, verbiage for kids? What do you think? I also wonder if anyone at Microsoft is thinking about this while designing their products. Disclaimer: I don't have kids (thank god!!).

Do you find yourself talking directly to your computer? 🤨
I have a tendency to talk to my computer. May sound a bit daft! 🤨 If I am under pressure for whatever reason, or I am searching for a reference and cannot find it, I talk AT my computer - most likely with exasperation that anything else; not that this helps me to find the resource any quicker though. If I have the radio on in the background and the news is being broadcasted, I most definitely voice my opinion on the subject matter to my computer (which thankfully remains silent - unless Narrator is switched on). 😲 Then that becomes a whole different ball game if I am working on a Word document. 🤣 Has being on lockdown changed your behaviour towards your computer? If we have a more extended lockdown and have to work from home for a prolonged period of time, will this influence/change our working behaviours? Your PoV please 😀 Keep well.
Do you leave your computer on overnight?
Hello One of my colleagues mentioned to me that she leaves her desktop computer on throughout the night. I realise that after 30 minutes or so (or whatever time you choose) the device goes to 'sleep'. I have never left my computer on all night - probably a habit of mine. So, I am left wondering whether contributors do leave their devices switched on throughout the night? 🤔. Views anyone?
Edge side scroll bar
I wonder how many users actually find the thin scrollbar at the side easier to use than the normal wider, fixed width type? Personally, I find it fiddly and irritating. Yes, I could use the older browser or a different brand, but this feature is hardly a accessibility advantage, is it. Personally, if I was designing the feature, I would retain the tried and trusted wider type and make it semi-transparent. The user would always be able to see the scrollbar, access it quickly and easily and still see anything under it. Perhaps MS should offer the option of 'keep it thick' by default and see how many users change it to 'thin but expanding' as it is now.
