No Dark Mode File Explorer on Work PC
I am a huge fan of everything dark mode on my P.C. My personal has everything dark, even the file explorer folders. However, on my work P.C. that is not the case. I cannot make this setting dark. Is this because my system is administered by the organization?
When is the Inbuilt Support to Mirror iPhone to PC arriving?
Does anyone know if Microsoft has any plans to manage smartphones (iPhone, Android devices specifically) from PC ? I am talking about features like Mirroring your phone notifications to PC (Call, Text notifications etc.), Mirroring screen to PC etc. Currently, there are only third party apps that enable users to do that. But that comes at a cost.
Email: the more things change the more they stay the same
I started really getting into the internet back in the early '90's. When I got connected I had my US Robotics 33.6K modem, an independent ISP, Netscape, and thought I was the cat's pajamas.. Ha! The ISP gave me a disk that contained everything I needed to get connected, and to set up an email account. Wow! It didn't take long for the junk email to start rolling in. I called and asked, and was told how to get rid of it but that didn't stop it to my satisfaction. I went to a different ISP, and he showed me what to do, and explained how to do it, so I could teach my friends, so that they wouldn't fall into the same trap that I had. I won't explain that suffice to say that it was a lesson learned and it is no longer really applicable. So why did I bring it up? This morning I received 2 emails. One was from and old friend of mine and was addressed to me using her name, but not her email address, and was addressed to an email address that I first signed on to Facebook with, over 10 years ago, and changed it immediately there after. Other emails using her name have come to me using my correct email. I told her about this but apparently she has done nothing. Too bad. Also I received an email from PayPal telling me my account was in jeopardy of being closed because of some total nonsense. I looked at the email header and with a laugh forwarded it to firstname.lastname@example.org. People please, it's not rocket science. If an email sounds to good to be true it probably is, and if doesn't look right check it out, and by all means do not give out personal information ever in an email. Microsoft Outlook 365, Outlook 2016, and Microsoft Email all have made it extremely easy to add these senders to your blocked senders list. Please do so, and protect yourself.

What do you use for your desktop background? Lock screen?
What do you use for your wallpapers? I've been using Bing Desktop, which changes your desktop background every day to the lovely pictures provided by Bing (they also do the daily pictures on your Lock Screen before you log in). I would say many users I see (I work in a Microsoft Store as a Services Advisor) usually have some place they went on vacation or a picture of their family. I've even seen some people have a slideshow as their background, to change to different pictures on an interval.
Friends Email Problem
I have a friend in the "Bible Thumpin" South that I get email from. Lately though I've been getting emails from her name but with a totally fictitious email address. I alerted her to the problem and she said that she would get with her tech people down there an have them look into it. Last week, I got another one, but this one was to me at an email address that I only used for less than a month when I first when on Facebook to get info on out upcoming class reunion. It was an oops moment using that email address and I changed it within a short time. That was telling me that whoever is spoofing her if using her Facebook account friends. Agree? I again alerted her. Received an email back and she replied that her HP guys couldn't tell her why that was happening, and that no one else had said anything. She's running Windows 10 and has her email @Yahoo.com. "Light bulb" going off... She needs to call Yahoo or Verizon not HP! So besides the usual virus scans yadda yadda. Anything else I can have check.... More minds are better than one. Thanks All
