blue screen when connecting to 5G wifi with new adapter
Hi, I recently bought a new Wifi adapter and since then I've encountered BSODS when connecting to 5G network. I ran winbg and here is some pertinent information: Loading Dump File [C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP] Kernel Bitmap Dump File: Kernel address space is available, User address space may not be available. ************* Path validation summary ************** Response Time (ms) Location Deferred srv* Symbol search path is: srv* Executable search path is: Windows 10 Kernel Version 18362 MP (8 procs) Free x64 Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS Edition build lab: 18362.1.amd64fre.19h1_release.190318-1202 Machine Name: Kernel base = 0xfffff803`29800000 PsLoadedModuleList = 0xfffff803`29c461b0 Debug session time: Mon Feb 8 17:47:34.232 2021 (UTC - 6:00) System Uptime: 0 days 3:07:26.860 Loading Kernel Symbols ------------------------------ Loading User Symbols PEB is paged out (Peb.Ldr = 0000001b`f89dd018). Xbox Gamebar crashing when creating a post.
Hello, I am having multiple issues with windows on this laptop which I never had before. One of those is that whenever I open Xbox Game Bar and try to post in 'Looking for group', the Game Bar just crashes. And it crashes several times even if I try to open it. I tried many ways, repairing and resetting the Game Bar from settings, uninstalling it using a command and re-installing it, which made it work for some time, but it started to crash after 1 to 2 restarts. I hope I can fix this.

Memory Use in low-memory devices
With each feature update (since 1607, at least), Windows 10 uses more memory (and disk space, but that's another day). It's getting to where 50-60% of RAM in a tablet/2-in-1 (2GB RAM, Win10 Home 32-bit) or older laptop (4GB RAM, Win10 Home 64-bit) is taken for a multitude of services and other tasks most of which just site there - seldom actually using CPU cycles after system startup. Yes, we should buy new computers with more RAM, on a never-ending cycle. Sorry, not going to happen in the real world where budgets are tight. What Windows needs is to be more cognizant of what the machine it's running on has available, and adjust its running footprint to match. A good rule of thumb might be: 50% of RAM when not running apps explicitly opened by the user is probably too much. If I don't have a lot of RAM, load those services only when they're needed and unload them afterward. Yes, that would slow down things when the services are needed and have to be reloaded, but the overuse of RAM is slowing things down anyway by pushing things into swap when any significant app is opened. Using swap is a real pain with spinning rust, but not great with eMMC or slower SSDs either. Look in Task Manager sometime and note how much is sitting there at the bottom of the process list nearly all the time, using no CPU once the system has stabilized following startup; those tasks and services should be candidates for killing during normal use. At minimum (assuming a reasonably-sized C: drive), those should be swapped out after a certain amount of "dead" time without waiting for something else to be loaded that forces the issue (and slows the load of a task that is actually needed). ??? I maintain 10 computers for our computer club. Our default setup is one administrator account, for maintenance and installations, and a generic member login with limited privileges. This is closer to a business environment than a home one. Yesterday I did a clean install of Win10 (20HS) on a laptop that been running Insider releases. Now, when I create an account I am asked to supply or create an MS email account, or phone number. Is there a way to create accounts to match what I have on all my other PCs or do I need to go back to an older release?

+1 Issue with Your Phone
How can I eliminate the above noted issue when using "Your Phone" on my windows 10 version 1909. I have asked for and received assistance, remotely, from two (2) Microsoft techs with no results. Am I the only one experiencing this issue? If so, how can I resolve it. My phone is a Note 8. My cotacts do not ontain the "+1" designation. It only appears on the PC, Acer 5, when I attempt to make a call. HELP!!!
Microsoft's Support really sucks
I am unable to send an email to a client - seriously, COMPLETELY UNABLE - to send an email to one of my clients with Microsoft Windows 10 Outlook because every time I type in her email address, the program 'corrects' her email address to her phone number. And there is NOBODY at Microsoft willing to fix it or answer the problem. I expect better service from a company with this much of our money and with this much market saturation. I have already looked at several conversations and the only answers I have seen involve trying to find every email, text or other communication I have ever had from any source with this person and try to delete them all - which is not possible. Anyone else?
