Windows UI has a problem
Today, after opening my laptop, I found some of windows and apps have wrong layout. The minimize, maximize and close button look like Windows Server versions, they become larger. Also, I can't see some texts because they aren't displayed, or displayed but have exact same color as background. Thank you in advance!

WARNING: Before you uninstall Windows 7 / 8.1, back up your files to another location, such as OneDrive or USB flash drives. To uninstall Windows 8.1: 1. Start your computer running Windows 10. If you're running Windows 8.1, restart your computer to Windows 10. 2. Right-click Start and then click Disk Management. 3. Right-click the partition that contains Windows 8.1. Do not right-click the partition that contains Windows 10. 4. Click Yes to confirm. 5. Close Disk Management. 6. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R, type "cmd" (without the quotes) and press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER. 7. Type bcdboot c:\windows and press ENTER. 8. Type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press ENTER. 9. On the Boot tab, select "Windows 7" or "Windows 8.1", click Delete, and then click OK. 10.Restart your computer if prompted. NOTE: If you have upgraded from Windows 7 / 8.1 to Windows 10, you don't need to follow steps 1-10 shown above. Windows Defender anti-virus
Hi all - 1st time posting, I think. On my new HP computer - Windows 10 - I confirmed that Windows Defender anti-virus is turned on, and uninstalled McAfee trial that came with the computer, as I've read was advised to prevent a Trojan virus sneaking inbetween the 2 protections. TWO QUESTIONS: (1) Is Windows Defender all that should be required, for a casual-use, at-home pc, or do users get a second anti-virus program to back it up? and (2) My (paid) McAfee subscription ran out on my OLD (now only occasionally used) Windows 10 PC. Is there anyway a virus could get into that computer, and transfer over to my NEW pc, since the devises are apparently synced? TIA!
