I ran windows defender "fullscan"... am i safe now?
I accidentally installed malware on my pc... so windows defender got blocked... i quickly go to restore point in the day before ive installed it and full scan in windows defender that detected 0 threats am i safe now??? Or do i need to reformat?
Malfunctioning battery post Feature update to Windows 10, ve
Malfunctioning battery post Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004. Battery says "plugged in 0% available." When i unplug the power the surface turns off and the battery does not charge. I have tried all the recommended methods from previous answer including reinstalling battery driver. Please help! Thanks in advance.
Windows 10 1909 (19H2) Release Date
Hello Community, I was wondering if Anyone has heard any Official Information on when the New Windows 10 1909 (19H2) will be Released to Everyone ?... I understand that it is considered a "Service Pack" and that it is do sometime next month in September from what I've read online. Since it's a "Service Pack" will it be Released On Patch Tuesday?... What are your thoughts on this?...
windows 10 pro display screen sleep issue
Can someone tell me why windows 10 pro looses network connection when you only set the display to turn off after a predefined time and not allowing the SP to go to sleep? i have gone through many articles/ registry suggestions about making sure the network setting is set to not turn off when the SP goes to sleep so thats all fine. but i cannot find out why and how to stop this. windows 7 never use to do it. you could set the display to turn off after a certain time and that's exactly what would happen. The computer would still be running and all the network connections would stay connected. very frustrated!
Windows 10 always secretly busy doing 'something else'..?
After every frequent, time-consuming and tedious W10 update, it can take up to a week for 'normal service' to be resumed. Any browser you care to use performs erratically and sluggishly; it, File Explorer and Windows in general frequently go faint and 'fail to respond'. WHY??? If it's any help, I'm a long-standing IT pro now working from home and using an HP ProOne 440 G4 all-in-1 workstation new last August - and supposedly specifically designed for Windows 10, God help us!
Windows 10 October 2020 20H2 Release Date ?
Hello Fellow Windows Community Members, I heard that Windows 10's next update ( Window 10 "October" 2020 20H2 ) is Now in testing and will be released to us Very Soon. Perhaps as early as next month as a regular small cumulative update. The article said that the ISO will arrive first, and then a gradually rollout in fazes to the general public's systems. ( Just like May's 2004 update did ) I for one am looking forward to this new build, However!... I look forward to ALL of Microsoft's Updates and Improvements š. I also heard that in this next release we will be saying "Goodbye" to the old Edge Browser and only have the New Chromium Edge Browser. ( Which I prefer and use every day anyways ). Has anyone heard a Official Release Date from Microsoft? What are your thoughts on the upcoming Update? Pros/Cons
I can't activate Windows 10 after hard drive switch.
I was given this desktop computer by a kind person in my community, and I pulled the original hard drive and gave it to them for thier security and installed a new one myself. I then installed Windows 10 from a copy that my old boss at a local computer shop provided me for free, no product key of course though. I installed the Windows 10 Pro OS and tried to get it activated so I could use the wide range of features available once activated but failed to get it done before it went limited setting. I recently spoke with a kind microsoft rep. online about another issue and brought up my issue with activation he gave me a screenshot and link for an accessibilities options for people with disabilities program that was over but assured me that I fit all the criteria nessessary to get my copy of Windows 10 activated free but I've had nothing but headaches and redirects that have consumed many hours of my time to no avail! I'm on a very fixed income and require activation for my O/S ASAP! I used Windows 10 Update Assistant to get the NEW v21H1. Windows Search Index high resources usage.
There is a sudden, increase in the resource usage (CPU, RAM, DISK) by windows search indexing. So i tried running troubleshooter. this didn't helped. Then in command prompt, i tried running sfc scannow with administrative privileges. This also didn't helped. At last i had to turn it off by heading over to service manager. But i don't want to turn it off. Please help ! I am currently on latest version of windows 10.
