update bug fixes
Have Windows fixed the latest bug fixes in the current updates? Last time I lost all my browser history and passwords and had to reset to the earlier version to fix this. I do not want to update and find the same problem. Thanks
Problem Printing Word Document
l have been printing the same word document for years with no trouble. It still prints from my old laptop HP OMEN with Windows 10, to my old printer HP Envy7640. I have just tried to print the same document from a surface go 2 in Windows 10 s mode, using word to my HP Envy 7640. It won't print. Word says there is an error with my margins. quick fix is to print as PDF file then print the PDF file using my HPsmart App to my printer. Anyone know why the file won't print normally from word on the surface go 2? I know word uses the printer driver to work out margins but could this error be anything to do with s mode? Apart from that the surface go 2 is brilliant. I am using the basic model and so far it handles all my basics well. Good job Microsoft: Wish I had one of these at school in the 60's. Wouldn't it be great if every school could give one of these to everyone at school. I'm actually writing this with a pen just like I did before l left school. The more we advance the more we stay the same.
Can no longer write to files in my home Documents
My files in my home Document are no longer writable. I've suspected Dropbox, Bitdefender and Windows Account, but am unable to fix. If I try to write to a file in \Users\me\Documents it says: You'll need to provide administrator permission ... So if I chose 'Continue', it says You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from me-DESKTOP\me to make changes I am logged in to me-DESKTOP as me. I am the Administrator and only user on this box and for years all has been fine, until recently. Another interesting find is that I seem to only have this problem with a compressed folder. I cannot Uncompress it either, 'An error occurred applying attributes to the file: Access is denied". When I open Properties, Security, Advanced I can see that the Owner is me (me-DESKTOP\me) and if I click on the 'Change' button NOTHING happens except the Change button becomes grayed out. If I do the same steps in SAFE mode, I can actually change ownership to me, but when I boot back to regular mode the problem returns. I've disabled my anti virus, uninstalled dropbox but continue to have the issue. I've found that if I copy the files to a new location they become writable. I also have another weird issue where I am regularly being advised by Windows that my Windows Account needs to be updated and opens a dialog asking me to login with an old email address that I no longer have. I have gotten a reset code (on an alternate email address) and updated my account to use a new email address but when I get the notification that my windows account needs to be updated I just repeat - as in, just read this paragraph over and over and over.
Just curious: Why can't microsoft corporation (the maker of microsoft products) answer directly to its consumer questions related to its products? Especially when cosumer is haven problems with your Os, why do you have to refer to windows community for answer? In a layman thinking, you created, you made these products, you should know best.
Watched Videos Badge
Hello Windows Community and Badge Earners, I have been trying to obtain the "Watched 25 Videos" Badge and it doesn't seem to register. I have watched countless videos here on Windows Community. Maybe there isn't more than 25 videos at this time? I am just putting this out there in case anyone else has run into this.
Huge files in "C:\Users\tcs06\AppData\Local\Temp\**.zip"
I think these files are some temp file of some zip. But it should be removed after I use it. And it take about 2GB. Can I delete them? And is this a bug? I am using Windows Insider Windows 10 OS Version 2004 (Build 19041.207)

Favorite features of the new Microsoft Edge
Hello Windows Community, What are some of your favorite features in the new Microsoft Edge? I truly like adding pages and other items to "Collections".
Microsoft 365 Update
Recently there was an update to Microsoft 365. In my case the only ones that I really use are OneNote, Outlook, and Excel, and of course OneDrive. With this update, in Excel, there now seems to be a slight hitch in it's git along. For instance. Column widths are not holding to size, no biggie right? Unless you switch from laptop, to Phone, to tablet, like I do then it's a real problem. Also and this one is critical for me. I have several columns that contain specifically formatted cells. These are formatted with various symbols like %, #, lb., mm, etc. you get the picture. After this update these formats have disappeared from the unfilled cells in the workbooks? that's what's troubling. It's an easy to recreate fix for me, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen anything out of the ordinary after one of these updates. Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please. Mark Twain
