in place upgrade buggy?
hi, I tried an in place upgrade on my device but got a message stating: You can't keep Windows settings, personal files and apps your current version of Windows might be installed in an unsupported directory. Tried some method of fix but to no avail. Anyone facing the issue? I have read from here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/windows-10-repair-upgrade-not-working/4551adb8-0f07-4ec5-ace0-00c59a8b11be that it could be a bug. Can someone confirm or let Microsoft know? By the way, for my other post, https://community.windows.com/en-us/conversations/in-place-upgrade-of-win-10-vs-re-installation-of-win-10/98cba04d-f266-4f43-b6e9-a3a734dac0c8 it shows 3 responses, but when I went to see all conversations, it only state 2. Bug there?
The Continuing Hardware Mystery
Perhaps there is a sleuth within our community who can shed a light on a vey peculiar issue. Background:-I have a HP Touchsmart 300 (All-In-One} bought in 2009 - operating system Windows 7 Home Premium. Naturally I jumped at the opportunity to upgrade to the new Windows 10 in 2015. Yes I am aware that my HP 300 is 10 years old and that some of the issues may be put down to age, however It has been well maintained and is still in perfect physical condition so I am hesitant to say age has caused certain devices/hardware to stop functioning. In a nutshell after an Insider Preview update a device/hardware suddenly no longer works. The first to go was the microphone array and to date this no longer works and I had to install a external device. Other devices/hardware that suddenly stopped working which I thought was linked to the sound problem although the sound problem is now resolve. Sound issue resolved after further insider updates. At the moment I have to continually change the display drivers after each Insider update back to the original agreed Microsoft/AMD 2015 drivers which work perfectly with my display hardware. The new drivers they install each time they update OS results in a display out of focus, stretched and overall it looks very dull and wrong. The resolution is far lower than the capabilities of the display. Has anyone else encountered the above issues or perhaps have an explanation?

I was processing a Windows 10 update. After it had been working for a number of hours I thought it had finished. So, I picked up the laptop, and in so doing accidentally pressed the power button. The device switched off. Since then I have been unable to get any further than the very first steps of boot-up! Any ideas please?

What exactly is Windows10X? Is it for PCs? Is it Windows 10's next update? I saw the leaked build video, and the animations and centred-task bar look so cool. If this isn't the next update of Windows 10, Then what is it? Is it a lighter version of Windows 10? If it is, hope y'all add the animations and quick access bar to the future updates of Windows. Hello Everyone, If you did not receive the New Windows 10 version 21H1 when it was first offered on 5/18/2021 and you are running the most current version of Windows 10 20H2 with ALL current updates applied. Then Please check in WU for it again Today 5/25/2021. When I first received it for my Alienware unit on 5/18/21 it installed with NO Problems. however I still had Six Units that didn't see it / receive it. So I checked again today for the other Six and low and behold they are currently updating right now. I Hope This Helps you that haven't received it yet. Please Check Again ((( Today ))) 😃
