Perhaps a Good Ideas Thread 😀
With all the really good dialogue going on this plat form, the help, advice and valid questions posed, I have had another idea. I don't think it's a whacky one but you may have a different opinion 😉 Question (1) What features, according to your experience and 'needs' should Windows incorporate within the next 36 months? Question (2) What additional features could be developed within the 36 months development time that go beyond need to the realm of 'want'?

Microsoft's new competition from Google "Stack"
This one I must ad is rather formidable too. Google's Area 120 has released an app called Stack. https://www.androidcentral.com/google-area-120-develops-stack-document-scanner For those that have not read about it, it is a mobile scanner app much like Microsoft Office Lens. Being the curious type that I am, I had to try it out. Here is what I found. This is going to make Microsoft sit up and take notice! plain and simple. Why? Mainly because of the AI features that they have built in, but also the "Stacks" are easier to access, than are Microsoft's, upload locations. Also you really don't need to center the device on the object to be scanned, just over it. You'll just have to try that one. But let's talk about the AI. What got my attention there, was when I scanned an item, which happened to be a bill, when it was ready to save to their "Stack", it showed me the name of the Payee. Where as with Office Lens I would need to edit their random file name to reflect the payee name. Maybe not a big deal, but certainly noteworthy. for those like myself that use Office Lens fairly frequently. Those are the 3 up sides. The down sides are, it's still in Beta, I felt that the UI was clunky, and although it says you can save the scan to somewhere other than Google Drive, I didn't find anywhere to change that. I saw where to turn it off, but not where to change. it. Bottom line from a lay person: Google Stack can when polished give Microsoft Office Lens a run for it' money, But Office Lens is tried and true and just keeps getting better and better. I'm staying with it

Toggle Keys beep AND .NET audio methods stopped working
I always use "Toggle keys" feature. Press Caps, Num Lock beep suddenly stopped working. This matter is widely reported returns many suggestions which I followed without resolution. The audio troubleshooter reports no issues. Windows sound events and music work perfectly. THIS MUST BE RELATED! I develop in .NET and these 2 audio methods NO LONGER EMIT SOUND. My speakers are not muted; using maximum volume; also using headset - NO AUDIO is emitted. * System.Console.Beep(); * System.Media.SystemSounds.Beep.Play(); Both Toggle & .NET audio stopped working at the same time.

Inclusion for all disabilities 🤩💯✔
Many contributors on this platform recognise and applaud the 'Ease of Access' features on Windows 10. Microsoft teams are to be congratulated 👏 with a personal thank you for me. From my very latest experience helping another visually impaired User to use Word in particular the screen reader and Narrator, I have the impression (I could be wrong) that marketing/raising awareness to disabled users could and should be improved. By way of explanation, the other day, I was able to assist a colleague to create a simple Word document. Imagine please 😊 'Anne' sitting at her desktop with the landline telephone stuck to my ear and my colleague doing the same in her own home. Although it was a prolonged process, I was able to help her discover some of the basic features such 'read aloud' and Narrator. When I discussed this experience with a community group, some people that they were 'afraid of breaking their computers' and not being adventurous enough because they were unsure of what they were doing. Something about technophobia perhaps. I replied that they would have to hit their computers with a very heavy item to break them. I also mentioned that operating systems are usually reliable and have their internal routines to resolve faults/errors. One person said that computers are an enigma to him. I replied that it is an enigma to me at times 😊 🤣. But, there was a general sense from this conversation that computer technology was for the 'clever people' and those who had all their faculties. I disavowed that presumption with my colleagues/acquaintances. Quite strongly actually. But it has made me think about how we can change this 'perception'. So, I am challenging Microsoft (respectfully of course 🤩😊) to comprehensively engage with users who have disabilities ; raising their awareness of the opportunities that information technology affords. FAO Moderator - please do not hesitate to socialise this with MS colleagues. Many thanks all 🙏😊

The perfect idea! Auto-open PC screens!
Hello everyone, I came up with a new idea. What if we had PC keys, like cars, and we could open the screen automatically after sleep or shutdown just like new SUVs open the back of their trunk automatically? Comment your thoughts on this idea! Have a great day.

WATCHING ME
HAS THIS EVER COME ACROSS ANYONES MIND? Well it mine. i had this feeling i was being watched. i spent days and hours searching my coMPUTER. I DID FIND WAYS TO see what family member or live in is doing. there are apps that can be downloaded that can watch every move you make without being in family group, for instance ever see your window page change maybe a different picture,or a picture you have chosen of personal or from micro store? well behind is a peculiar thing... hidden try hiding all icons on your window screen. i did and found a small icon of an app i downloaded. what is this doing here? also being redirected from your search engine.? i am microsoft .. in my history said it was amazon.. so i deleted amazon. my search engines are really not my search engines.. This is an act from live ins that think it's funny .. i say sneaky. they say i am administrator and yes my title says so but I am not .i cant even get security on my outlook email,, when i click it it says you can not get this for any of your emails!!! what! I try to get answers but you all know what happens... ok try looking deeper into your computers wether individual employee owner or student ,,,,k? .Also try this double click anything at the bottom will say inspect well inspect it.
